Arugula somehow IS classified as an edible plant, really I just looked it up, but it tastes like burnt rubber bands!How is that even possible?
Here is a steering wheel 'glamour shot' of my constant companion. I would never let its blades touch arugula, umm except maybe to help me fish pieces of the stuff out of an otherwise perfectly good salad.

 The light is actually mid-morning, but in January the sun comes up way south of east, and it stays low all day. So you get the "horizontal rays, late in day" effect all day long in the winter (on the rare occasions we see sun in January
