Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I've been thinking of what to slip in my pocket tomorrow, and I decided on this Damascus and Ironwood SFO. It is one of only 5 made, one of which went to our dear departed friend Ron @Half/Stop Fantastic weather forecast tomorrow, and with some of the restrictions here eased, just a little, yesterday, I'm planning to head out for a hike :)

Rain Drop Damascus? ... Nice Jack
Happy Birthday tomorrow !!!
While out and about, don't do anything I wouldn't do
... but if you do, make sure you have a damn good lawyer :D
And if you're outside for a hike ... you'll be outstanding :)

Cool photo Dwight, I like the pile-side of your Hartshead Barlow  How do you find that Axiom Ocularis?
Thank you Jack. The Axiom Ocularis has served me well in ushering the squirrels off of the bird feeders. It's stout and small in the hand.

Of course it's just my personal opinion but I believe that group of 5 were arguably the finest of your efforts with A Wright. Or is it this group of 5... Or is it....:D:D:D

I don't think it's Raindrop pattern, though I can't remember if it had a name, and unlike Fodderwing Fodderwing , I never seem to be able to get a clear pic of it  Thanks a lot my friend :)

Again... HAPPY BIRTHDAY en la mañana amigo mio!:D

That's good to hear Dwight :D I don't have an Axiom, but I have a couple of other slingshots which use the Occularis system, one gifted to me by @Crazy Canuck, and one made in Sheffield, which was a birthday gift from my girlfriend last year :)

Thank you my friend, of the total of 20 made, I think the Sambar models are my personal favourite :) I wish I had had more made under the previous administration at Wright's, though I regret paying extra to have their name added o_O

Thanks again pal :)

Jack Black Jack Black ... Tuesday so it's official I guess. Happy 60th mate ... took ya long enough !!!
Too old for a mid-life crisis and still too young for velco shoes but what can ya do
Enjoy your day Jack !!! :)

LOL! Thanks again Jim! :D :)

Good morning Guardians, lovely weather here, which really makes a difference, and I am certainly looking forward to getting out of the city (even though I'll still be within the city limits) for the first time in nearly 6 months :) Have a good day everyone, and thanks again for the kind words and good wishes

I've had stuff disappear for months, or even years, and it's very annoying. I hope you find your Hartshead Barlow soon. Close escape with that snake! Talking of snakes, and losing things, when I was a young nipper, my grandparents called in at our house one evening on the way back from the seaside. They had brought me the gift of a very realistic rubber snake. The next day, I was out in the yard whirling it about, when I let it go, and it just disappeared. I was only about 5, if that, and I was just bewildered, and didn't think much more of it. A couple of years later, my mother was on a step-ladder cleaning out the guttering on the kitchen roof, when I heard this tremendous scream - she had found my snake! :D

LOL! I bet you got a hiding for that!:D

Looking good David, what's the capacity :)

One litre; the medium sized model they do. I thought I'd split the difference between a decent water capacity and amount of fuel used. But seeing how fast these things boil I don't think that's a consideration really so I could of gone with the largest.

It's my 60th birthday this coming week, and I received a very nice gift from donn donn today, some quality ales from his local brewery :) Thanks a lot David, very kind of you my friend :)

Your welcome Jack, I hope you like them. :)

Most of what’s sold here in clear glass bottles are Mexican lagers (Corona and the like), some Miller products (MGD, Miller High Life) and Newcastle. I’ve been happy with the move towards cans over bottles; it certainly seems like a better option for smaller breweries.

Yeah a lot of the smaller breweries in the UK have moved over to cans, especially the newer 'craft' breweries with their more modern brews. There's still a big call from the traditionalists for bottles. I prefer bottles but in all honesty there's absolutely no difference in taste. But there is in volume, our tins 440ml, our bottles are 500ml. Less beer for the same price. :(

I hadn’t heard of Shepherd Neame before, but I thought this London pub featured on their Wikipedia page looked interesting.

Thanks! My brother and his family lived in Bath, but they moved back to the States about a year and a half ago. We got to visit twice, which was great. This was my brother’s favorite pub in Bath, The Raven.

Decent pies there. :D

LOL! Barrett. You've only gone and chosen what is probably the most expensive of London's traditional pubs. :D Yip, it's a nice pub, but I'd have to sell one of my more important internal organs to afford anything in there. :D
I remember you posting those Bath shots; it looked a great pub. I think it was on my list of things to do as well but that'll never happen now.

Now that looks perfect.

Jack Black Jack Black You're only young turning 60, i don't know what your" bluein " about.:D:D:D:D. Anyway here are a couple of thing i know you like for your birthday, some of your favorite pastimes.. The last one alas is only in spirit, but it is the best of our wines, aged properly, it is just so good, it is about 1/7 the price of Grange Hermitage. A lot of people will argue with me, but Hermitage is over rated, especially when you throw in the price, trust me mate Penfolds St. Henri is better. And you know what they say, never trust anyone who says trust me.;). Have a good one mate, whenever the official day is.
First one, i know you like trains. Here are 2 refurbished Victorian Railways Loco's at Spencer Street Station..

Secondly, and this goes without saying.:).

Fantastic locos. There used to be a railway museum in Melbourne didn't there? Without looking it up I can't remember what it's called but it's at the mouth of the Yarra if I recall.

Happy Birthday, Jack!
Hope it's a good one!

This is like the three Corsican Old Timers sitting on a bench.
After a long while, the left one says : eheheh...
A longer while later the right one says : ohohoh...
Then, after a long, very long time, the middle one stands up on his feets and says : if you start yelling I prefer leave... :p
