Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Your HHB is looking fine , Jack:thumbsup:. And it looks as though you found some nice tools to keep it company! Hope your sunny weather holds out....here in NC, it is a wash-out:(. Torrential down pours⛲. We needed the rain badly and it is coming in bucket loads. Not really too much of a concern for me as I have a freshly sodded lawn and palms require much water. Also, I am still unpacking; indoor work. Looks as though we are now in a rainy time for the next week. Humidity level is oppressive😧. I usually go for walks around our lake and I will continue to do so but I'll be wearing rain gear - just a little uncomfortable to have on since it is so warm outside and wet😦.

Keeping my HHB close to me again.

Thank you Bill, yours too my friend :) Sorry to hear about the weather there, I just spoke to a friend in London, and he said it's been raining all day there  I hope you get better weather soon, rain gear and high humidity is a bad combination - you need an umbrella! :D ;)

I got distracted earlier, and forgot I had put a small blackberry crumble in the oven  I might need my Hartshead Barlow to scrape the oven-dish

Jack, that crumble is literally making my stomach growl and the HHB is making me drool as I sit here having my my morning coffee! 😋😂

😂😂😂 you got me there Jack! I have never seen or heard that word before. I thought the spell checker got you again. 😊 I had to look it up, now I know a new word! Thanks for the education Jack! 😂👍
LOL! Thanks Todd :D It wouldn't be the first time I've been defeated by the darn auto-correct, but I'm on my PC right now ;)

We're planning on getting the kayaks out this afternoon, so I had some baits to make. The lambsfoot definitely earned it's keep this morning.

Very cool Corey, nice work :) I'm glad the Lambsfoot could get in on the action :D Happy fishing my friend :)

With donn donn otherwise occupied, and cudgee cudgee locked out of his local pastie shop, the Guardians thread has been somewhat pie-starved recently  I thought I'd selflessly jump on the grenade! :D Sure was a darn tasty pie :) :)

Getting to be lunch time over here and these pics aren't helping my stomach grumble any less.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. I've got this one in Ebony with me today.

Hope you have a great lunch Dylan :) That's such a beautiful knife  Have a fantastic weekend pal

Hi Jacques, I can understand the confusion - sorry if I added to it! :) Those are knives of my design, commissioned as a limited run some years ago, and no longer available I'm afraid :( They were made when Wright's had a different ownership, and their design is exclusive to me. Another company, Eggington, produce Lambsfoot Barlows, with stainless blades, with both the old George Wostenholm - IXL and Joseph Rodgers marks, which they acquired some years ago. I can't post a link because it would break the sub-forum guidelines, but I'm sure you can find them easily enough. Here is an image of one of the 'IXL' models, taken from the net

Thanks a bunch for taking your time to answer me and clear some confusion. Much appreciated
I really like the Barlow styled Lambsfoot but even more so to try out a knife from Wrights - I mean, the all look so nice you know :)
GECs 93 Ramsfoot is what got me into traditionals in the first place. It's an aesthetic knife and the straight edge is perfect for me as I often have to cut climbing ropes at my work - hence I'm now looking for a lambsfoot too.
Thanks again for answering.

My pleasure :) You should know though, that most of the knives you've seen here, with the A. Wright tang stamp are not standard production (I regret now not using my own tang stamp). In the past couple of years, a few folks here have been lucky, and got a decent one, but others have received knives with terrible grinds, and all kinds of other faults, from the company as it is now :( I hope you can find a nice Lambsfoot, it's a great pattern

Good morning Guardians, great weather here today, but as I posted before, I'm very restricted in where I can go because of a triathlon running in Leeds. With a certain amount of guile and cunning though, I've managed to chart a cross-country route to the pub, and booked an outdoor table for the afternoon ;) Wishing all of you a fabulous weekend
