Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

That's a stunning photo of your Hartshead Barlow, we got some nice stag there
Thank you vary much, Jack!๐Ÿ™‚
Josรฉ, your HHB is looking great!๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘

Fantastic ebony Jer! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘I really missed out on those.
Good morning Guardians, hope everyone is having a good week :) I'm sitting here, locked out of my PC, waiting for Windows to install updates I didn't ask for  Hartshead Barlow in my pocket (I'll edit in a pic when I eventually regain access to my PC)

Good morning! A great shot of your HHB and lovely backdrop!
Another nice photo, those covers look like honey!๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘
It was a good thing I had an Ubuntu start-up disc when Windows told me there was a problem with my device, that they would fix the problem with my device by reinstalling Windows, and that they couldn't reinstall Windows.
Sometimes I think people with no computer are crazy, sometimes I don't.

I do believe it's a racket! You use to be able to get the disks so you could reinstall it yourself, but now they want to do everything on line. Frustrating.
Another great shot!๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
I rely heavily on pens with stylus tips.

Got them on my desk, nightstand, end table...๐Ÿ˜‰
Nice kitty photo!๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘
Here are my two wooden handled Lambfoot knives. They are different, but so close that one may be off for a recover someday. View attachment 1575281
A fine pair, Todd! Looks like cousins!๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘

Lil'in again.

Ooo, Eek, The dreaded updates:eek:. Hope you don't have the same experience that I had. Installed a new operating system on my iMac and the computer crashedo_O. Had to take to my local geek for fettling. Ended up replacing the old mechanical hard drive with a new solid state one:thumbsup:. Now she works like a charm but some of my old applications weren't compatible with the new updates...Yikes!!. Slowly but surely getting it all worked out but it has been about a month now messing with all this stuff:(.

Today we finally got some rain after 4 weeks of being hot and dry:thumbsup:. Hopefully the stage one water conservation measures will be rescinded by our county. The saga of my move to our new home continues regardless of the weather outside;). Now it the electronics...oh boy:p. Once again my trusty HHB is in my pocket. Definitely my favorite knife.:)

I know what you mean, my son does his school work on his phone, even writes his papers with his phone. ๐Ÿ˜ณ That would do me in Iโ€™m afraid! ๐Ÿคช
Yeah, incredible! :D

Nice to see those two together :)
Morning Guardians. Went with double bolsters today for Wooden Wednesday. Please remember that he's a bit sensitive about his round nose, compared to the defined features on his relatives ;)

I think Wright's regard that one as the posh nose Mike! :D ;) I'd forgotten you had that one :)

'Dreaded' indeed Bill! Oh no! :( Sorry to hear you're having to waste time on that, I'd always thought Macs were very reliable. I once spent the best part of a year trying to recover files I had lost from my PC, I got about 75% of them back, but lost some important stuff, and I could certainly find better things to do with my time

It sounds like your weather has been the exact reverse of what we've had here Bill! Hope you get things sorted with the house soon my friend :) Your Heartshead Barlow is looking swell

Thanks for the kind words Dennis, you are doing well with those multi-quotes buddy :) I'm sorry you missed out on the ebony '18s, I wish I had one to send you :( (In retrospect, I wish I'd just got as many knives made up as possible, while John Maleham still had the firm ) Your goldren Lambsfoot looks great, cool pic Dennis :)

Happy Wednesday, folks, I hope everyone is keeping well.

I got in an ol' Lamb Foot the other day. I was actually after a different knife and thought I'd throw this one in the mix as well since the price was right. Ordinarily, I might not have gone for it since the blade has quite a bit of wear and there is no tang markings to be seen anywhere but I am still happy that it made it to me. I had no idea what its scale was and was rather pleasantly surprised to find that is is considerably larger than all of my other Lambsfoot knives - this will make my very first "big 'un", I think. I need to clean it some, mostly to remove some surface rust and give the pivot a good oiling but the action is tight and snappy and there is enough metal to make for a useful tool for a long time to come. The bone is some crude stuff but it is thick and worn so it makes for a very comfortable knife in hand.

A shot to show some size comparison.

And, of course, a glamor pic.

I am a warm blooded fellow and would very much like this sunny heat here in the PNW to go right back where it came from. Upper 60s-low 70s is pretty much perfect - this 80s and 90s nonsense can go do something crude and offensive like.
Lol, It hit 80's yesterday and I also told myself, this is too early in the summer. But, we're back down to 70's today...perfect

It's been a hot* day here in Yorkshire, and a lovely warm evening, so I went for a few pints with a mate who lives down the road from me :) Up early for the market tomorrow, so I couldn't stay out too late ;) Think I'm going to carry my Barlow again tomorrow ;) Have a good Thursday Guardians

Thanks, Jack!
You had some fantastic projects come to fruition, and I feel very blessed to have the two I have, both are wonderful!! Maybe someday you'll be able to influence another manufacturer to create the quality that you achieved in the past!๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

Thank you Dennis, I'm glad you were around then, and wish we could have continued, at least with an annual Guardians knife :) I still have a very large amount of leftover packaging in my spare bedroom! I'm not sure there is anyone left in Sheffield worth influencing, but who knows what the future holds

Thanks again my friend, and I hope you get some sunny days and blue skies :)

Interesting photo of your Big 'Un Dennis, do you ever carry it in that sheath?

It's late afternoon here in Yorkshire, and I am back from my weekly trip to the market, where there is always something different to be found... :D

Lol, I don't know if like the knife or the panzerfaust more! Hartshead is always amazing but the panzerfaust could blow s&^t up!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Please don't tell me that is a live round!

I am in complete agreement, Dylan, but it's getting Hot again today!!

Made me grab this "cool" knife to carry out today!!
Made by whoever bought the Joseph Rodgers trademark, It went to Montana, USA from Sheffield, then to glennbad glennbad for a new suit of South-Asian Stag clothes!! Then it was gifted to me!! In Canada!!
I thank Dave, knowtracks knowtracks and Glenn for the steps that put this now-international beauty into my pocket!!
The company that took over Joseph Rodgers, put some of JR's legendary quality into this knife; great W&T and fitment!! And Glenn's work only iced the cake!!
Thanks all!!JR modern 1.jpgJR modern 2.jpg
