That IS a cool knife Charlie, and a very well-travelled oneI am in complete agreement, Dylan, but it's getting Hot again today!!
Made me grab this "cool" knife to carry out today!!
Made by whoever bought the Joseph Rodgers trademark, It went to Montana, USA from Sheffield, then toglennbad for a new suit of South-Asian Stag clothes!! Then it was gifted to me!! In Canada!!
I thank Dave, @knowtracks and Glenn for the steps that put this now-international beauty into my pocket!!
The company that took over Joseph Rodgers, put some of JR's legendary quality into this knife; great W&T and fitment!! And Glenn's work only iced the cake!!
Thanks all!!View attachment 1576189View attachment 1576190

But it's a dandy, Dylan! Likefinding a '57 Chevy that needs just a little attention! And, of course, a glamor pic.

Your horn on that one looks pristine A1, Jose!
Thanks Jack. Actually the sheath belongs to a German made "Herbert Mazo" fillet knife I had picked up that I also photographed, just used the sheath as a prop.Interesting photo of your Big 'Un Dennis, do you ever carry it in that sheath?
We did get some blue sky today! Thanks again my friend, and I hope you get some sunny days and blue skies![]()
I have a hewing axe I need to re-hang, and I like those axes, but as for the recoilless tank slapper, been around too many RPS's to ever want to touch another. I had trained in the Infantry to use the Dragon and LAW antitank weapons, which was exciting at the time. It's late afternoon here in Yorkshire, and I am back from my weekly trip to the market, where there is always something different to be found...![]()

I know why mate, mine is just a sturdy work knife, and keeps it's edge, but my scales have gone dark brown from use. Good to see you around, have a good weekend mate.I took a couple of photos of the Ironwood, love this knife!

I suppose it was a bit of a wild guess Dennis! Thanks Jack. Actually the sheath belongs to a German made "Herbert Mazo" fillet knife I had picked up that I also photographed, just used the sheath as a prop.Maybe I can post a photo of it in the "Sportsman" thread Charlie started recently.

Nice one! Is that cocobolo?
Can I ask you gent to post a few pics of barlows from A. Wright? I'm considering a cuctom...

Nice one! Is that cocobolo?
The only 'Barlows' Wright's have in their standard range do not have Lambsfoot blades (nor are they actually Barlows). You'd be better asking in another thread, such as this one Jacques![]()
Thank you for the reply Jack Black but ... you left me confused. What are those two knives i quoted then?
The world of traditional folders is new to me and understanding it can sometimes feel harder than navigating through bureaucracy in a tax-office![]()

At least one of those axes is over 100 years old, and has really nice balance, but I have more than enough axes already
I hope you still have your hearing Dennis!
I'm glad you're enjoying that one my friend

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone has had a good weekMine has been OK, but gone fast because of the holiday Monday, and I have had quite a bit of work on. Sunny start to the day here, and I'm hoping it continues over the weekend. Unfortunately, I've had my hike yet again, as there's a triathlon running in the city, and (as per usual), the route completely cuts me off from the countryside. Both main roads on either side of my street will be closed, the ring-road to the north, and the junction to the south, so I am basically cut off! I'm hoping I can sneak across enemy lines, and go for a walk in some local woodland
Have a good Friday Guardians, and an even better weekend
Carrying my Hartshead Barlow again today
