Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thank you, Jack. The whiskey was superb, I really enjoyed it. American made single malts aren’t all that common (at least not where I’m at) - you kind of have to intentionally look for them. I got it in with a few other bottles, including this very fine Islay.

I'll have to see if I can hold of some here Dylan, and I will definitely look out for that Port Askaig, which looks great with your 2018 Guardians Lambsfoot
“Traverse City Triathlon” is hilarious Gary! 😂 They should adopt that name or at least put it on a shirt or something!

Since the weather was so nice we did some biking on our own BEFORE the brewery tour. The blurry white objects are swans (I didn’t have my glasses on when I was talking pictures 🤓)View attachment 1600599View attachment 1600597
Those are cool photos Todd, your Lambsfoot is looking really nice
Dylan @Pàdruig , that is a dram that I'm not familiar witho_O. I thought that I knew all the single malts from Islay. I'll bet that's one that will smack you right in the face - no wimps need apply! LOL😁
I think it's a blend Bill :) As all us Islay lovers know, there has been a shortage of Islay whiskies for some years now. I'm hoping I can track down a bottle ;)
Ooops, forgot to post up my Lambsfoot of the day:

Great pic, with the shadow of the Lambsfoot!
Old Toffee Wings is looking splendid, as always Jer :)

Hope everyone is having a good day :) Sunny weather added to the appeal of my local market, and after all the talk of chippies, I had a hankering for a chip butty! (Dandelion & Burdock on the side of course!) :D

Managed to squeeze in a little cake later in the afternoon ;)

Cool photos, Todd; your lambsfoot looks like vacation agrees with it!;)
Something I've seen several times when we vacation on Lake Huron is a male swan chasing Canada geese that the swan thinks are too close to his family. The part I like best is when the swan uses its wings to get up and run towards the geese on the surface of the water with its feet smacking the water to make an awful racket!

Just up the road from where I lived in Sheffield, there was a pond with swans, geese, and various ducks and other water fowl. One year, the swans had cygnets, and totally terrorised the other birds, particularly the geese. The weirdest thing was that the swans managed to somehow recruit a goose to assist them! I had just been writing an article about down sleeping bags at the time, and thought I'd get a picture of a goose to go with it. When I went up to the pond, it took me ages to get one because the geese were constantly being attacked, even with the one that was finally used, the goose was being pursued! :D

Fantastic work Mark  Hope you're doing OK buddy :)

Beautiful job Mark!! Cedar? I really like the railings. Bet you had fun cutting all those stringer notches! ;)

Eric

PS - Jack, sorry for the leapfrog post, you sneaked that post in before I got this reply out. That's an awesome article, I'm definitely in the goose down camp myself, and I say that through experience with both types of fill.

LOL! :D Thanks Eric, I'll PM you the rest of the article. It was published in 1993, and I STILL see it plagiarised! :D

Good to see you back posting mate, your comments and observations are great reading, like waiting for a weekly installment of your favorite radio serial on the old valve radio.🤣🤣🤣
Thanks, Leon! (now that I haven't been on in a week 🙄).
Speaking of old valve radios, I have an old AM Motorola tubed/valve radio I'm hope to get up and running, even found the right tubes!😉👍
Cool pic buddy :D
Thanks much, Jack!🙂👍

Nice all the way around, Jack! The last pic looks like a hardy tool, a wrench or clamp of some sorts?
My Buffalo Horn "Lil-un" with my board reflected in the blade - pretty fancy dancy photography if I do say so myself.

Old Faithful did not fail. Neither did the Barlow knife.
Awsome, Taylor! We lived in Green River for a while growing up, but never made it up to Yellowstone, but just the south side of the Bridger-Teton. We did go fishing at the Flaming Gorge, great trout fishing.👍
Love the jimping on your Lambsfoot, José!
I'm weak... Since I keep seeing these Gary Wines Lambsfoot knives, one finally arrived to join the flock. :)

Looks nice, Mike. How's the F&F on it?

Sorry not more chatty, hope everyone has a great Friday!

Thanks Dennis. I've only had one Lambsfoot better out of the mailbox before this one. Jack sent me a Big 'Un that had the nicest F&F. This one's a close second. Thankfully not a Friday knife :)

Nice horn on that Li'l one!
