Thank you, Jack. The whiskey was superb, I really enjoyed it. American made single malts aren’t all that common (at least not where I’m at) - you kind of have to intentionally look for them. I got it in with a few other bottles, including this very fine Islay.

I'll have to see if I can hold of some here Dylan, and I will definitely look out for that Port Askaig, which looks great with your 2018 Guardians Lambsfoot

“Traverse City Triathlon” is hilarious Gary! They should adopt that name or at least put it on a shirt or something!

Dylan @Pàdruig , that is a dram that I'm not familiar with. I thought that I knew all the single malts from Islay. I'll bet that's one that will smack you right in the face - no wimps need apply! LOL

I think it's a blend Bill As all us Islay lovers know, there has been a shortage of Islay whiskies for some years now. I'm hoping I can track down a bottle

Hope everyone is having a good day Sunny weather added to the appeal of my local market, and after all the talk of chippies, I had a hankering for a chip butty! (Dandelion & Burdock on the side of course!)

Managed to squeeze in a little cake later in the afternoon

Something I've seen several times when we vacation on Lake Huron is a male swan chasing Canada geese that the swan thinks are too close to his family. The part I like best is when the swan uses its wings to get up and run towards the geese on the surface of the water with its feet smacking the water to make an awful racket!

Something I've seen several times when we vacation on Lake Huron is a male swan chasing Canada geese that the swan thinks are too close to his family. The part I like best is when the swan uses its wings to get up and run towards the geese on the surface of the water with its feet smacking the water to make an awful racket!

Just up the road from where I lived in Sheffield, there was a pond with swans, geese, and various ducks and other water fowl. One year, the swans had cygnets, and totally terrorised the other birds, particularly the geese. The weirdest thing was that the swans managed to somehow recruit a goose to assist them! I had just been writing an article about down sleeping bags at the time, and thought I'd get a picture of a goose to go with it. When I went up to the pond, it took me ages to get one because the geese were constantly being attacked, even with the one that was finally used, the goose was being pursued!

Natural always trumps man made, i have pure Merino fine wool underlay tops, there is no comparison between them and man made synthetics.

Awsome, Taylor! We lived in Green River for a while growing up, but never made it up to Yellowstone, but just the south side of the Bridger-Teton. We did go fishing at the Flaming Gorge, great trout fishing.

Thanks Dennis. I've only had one Lambsfoot better out of the mailbox before this one. Jack sent me a Big 'Un that had the nicest F&F. This one's a close second. Thankfully not a Friday knife

Actually I just google for the valves. The radio I got from a friend of mine who sold Motorola radios, and our agencie went through him for many years.
