He does Duncan, and they're often over a hundred years oldThanks Jack,
Your friend must come across some real neat tools at times !!
Thank you, Jack. The whiskey was superb, I really enjoyed it. American made single malts aren’t all that common (at least not where I’m at) - you kind of have to intentionally look for them. I got it in with a few other bottles, including this very fine Islay.

A fine Islay malt my friend along side a fine HHB in stag. Here's a recycled photo. One of my favorite Islay drams along side my HHB.Looking good Ken
Hope everyone is having a good FridayPretty warm here today, and I've just been sat outside in the garden with my neighbours and their kids, but the kids are getting tired, and the mosquitoes are biting, so we've called it a day. It's nearly10 o'clock anyhow. Time for a dram I reckon

Yes Jack, the heat will really do you in. Here in NC the heat and humidity are oppressive. Really not suitable for Scotch; LOL. However, inside with air conditioning it is quite comfortable and conducive to a wee dram. Thanks Bill, great picHope you're having a great weekend
Certainly the hottest day of the year here, so far. I enjoyed going for a walk, and some slingshot practice, but it left me worn out!

That's a great argument for air-conditioning Bill! I've been sat outside drinking a few beers with my neighbours. I only noticed it was almost midnight when I came in. We don't get too many days when you can sit outside in a short-sleeved shirt at that time hereYes Jack, the heat will really do you in. Here in NC the heat and humidity are oppressive. Really not suitable for Scotch; LOL. However, inside with air conditioning it is quite comfortable and conducive to a wee dram.
Glad to hear you're still enjoying the finer things in life my friend!I've got a couple drams left of that Ardbeg "Oogie"...and most of a bottle of Laphroaig Quarter Cask.
But since it's so hot and humid here in western NC in the mountains, nobody was energetic enough to tell me that it wasn't appropriate weather for single malts.
Fortunately, we have bourbon and beer on hand. Those are always okay, apparently.
(Sorry, I sent my lambsfoot to Israel as a gift a few years ago.)

Like you and others have mentioned, it's been unusually wet and humid here as well! But I really can't complain thinking about all the folks out west caught in the drought, low water levels and the fires as well.I've had a bruising week, and didn't really feel up to having a full hike today, but hoping to get out for a shorter one later this morning. Probably just going to have a walk in some local woodland, maybe some catapult practiceWhatever you're doing, I hope you have a good one Guardians, have a great weekend
