A rare shot indeed!
I have a pal, who I'm having a drink with tomorrow, who was always buying long-handled slashers off the tool stall. It was through him that I first got to be friends with my mate with the stall. He bought so many, he used to have to sneak them into the house without his wife seeing them!![]()
I was just wondering about that myself, I suspect not, even though they are very traditional thereDid he take all his slashers to Poland?

Cool button Jer, it doesn't seem that long ago does it?![]()
I knew I had something Polish to post.
In the latest church newsletter, there's a picture of me at the geezers' table at the friendship luncheon. I don't look out of place at all.Cool button Jer, it doesn't seem that long ago does it?

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone has had a good week, and that you're looking forward to the weekend. I'm just about to head out for a walk in the park with my pal and his dog, hopefully with some coffee and cake on the side, so I'll catch up with you all laterHave a great day

Being half Polish myself (and the other half of the Teutonic ilk) I might have a tough time moving to Poland but as I understand it, Poland is a nice place to live and less costly than other countries. Jack - your HHB is looking good as usual. My pal of the long-handled slashers is married to a Polish woman, and together with their two young children, they moved to Poland at the beginning of January (Yes, we all think he's mad too!). He used to be one of my regular boozing partners, so I'm looking forward to catching up with him over a few pints this afternoon

You just reminded me Jer!
Thanks Bill, Poland is one of the nicest countries I've visited, and I have driven right across it, from the German border, all the way to the border with Belarus. My mate's missus is from a small place in the south, which I'm sure is a lovely place, but the problem for my friend is that he's 55, and has limited Polish, and virtually no skills at all, so his employment prospects are not good. His wife thinks he might be able to teach English, but he has no qualifications, and there are plenty of Polish people who can speak better English than he can! He's also Jewish, and has regularly encountered a level of anti-Semitism, even from family members, which would make Borat blush!Your HHB glowing in the radiant sun light.

Good Morning Guardians and all. Well this morning started out sunny but licklity split the skies have darkened. Looks like I will be doing some indoor jobs that I had been procrastinating on. Converting my generator over to run on natural gas, propane and gasoline (It's a Honda about the size of a gym bag).
Going to be using my HHB today.

Catching up with old friends is always nice.
And plenty of kids with degrees and wanderlust. Thanks Bill, Poland is one of the nicest countries I've visited, and I have driven right across it, from the German border, all the way to the border with Belarus. Good luck with your day my friend, and I hope the skies brighten soon![]()
