Good morning Guardians, halfway through the week already! Where does the time go?JTB_5 Joshua, I hope the rain stopped a little for you there, and that you enjoyed your birthday
I also hope that @Jon0385 isn't feeling too despondent about the damage caused to his Lambsfoot
I posted the pic below in the knives and tools thread, and thought I'd explain what those objects are accompanying my AC. In the past, all the machinery in cutlery 'hulls' was driven by leather belts connected to an overhead drive-shaft. Most of those belts were connected by stud-like 'buttons', others were connected by buckles, like the ones shown here, which were gifted to me by John Maleham

Glad you managed to stay out of the rain my friend, that sounds like a great presentThe rain came down, but I found a dry spot and we had a lovely dinner, thanks! My "big" birthday present was a Behmor coffee roaster, so now I'll be able to make larger batches with greater precision in the same time or less. Hope your day goes well today, Jack!
Great to see you here Rob, and those outstanding Lambsfoot knives, beautifully presentedHello Guardians, I hope everyone is well and in good spirits
It's a nice day for pictures, overcast with rain on the way so I took the opportunity to snap a few pictures this morning. A pair in stag for your viewing pleasure.

Hey Justin, hope you're keeping well buddyTaking a much needed day off today to do some stuff around the shop. I have the 2019 guardians knife handy for today’s chores. Last time I visited my folks my dad had come across a long forgotten box of toys in one of his outbuildings. Found some cool old trucks and tractors I had as a kid. Nice memories.

As for the Charlie Lambfoot - it's beautiful.Morning Guardians. One nice thing about the cooler weather in the Fall... Get to break the scuttle out of storage to enjoy some warm lather for shaving

Good luck BillGood morning Guardians, I'm prepping for a candidate forum today and it's just as well because the skies are cloudy and rain is on the way. I'll have my HHB with me for good luck. This may be a re-cycled photo - not sure though.

Google 'Trees Sheffield', sorry state of affairsWe were discussing the folly and stupidity of council rules the other day about removing trees, well i am sitting here listening to the radio, it is 7.00AM Thursday morning, and i could not believe what i just heard. There is a dispute going on with one of our local councils about what sort of trees to plant on council controlled property, they had to have a vote, the vote did not go the way some wanted, so they were going to take THEMSELVES to an appeal tribunal, that is right THEMSELVES. One of the council members stood up at the meeting and said, " are we making rules just for the sake of making rules, or for common sense ". I suspect he won't have a career for long, he is FAR too intelligent for such organizations.![]()

Thank you Jack. Campaigning is not my cup of tea as I'm no politician. I'm an engineer. Eating some cake sounds like something I will be doing tonight.Good luck Bill
For the first time in 3 weeks, I'll be off down to my local market tomorrow, to help my pal out with his tool stall, and hopefully eat a little cakeI'm probably not going to get a chance to wish you all good morning before I head out, but hopefully, I can catch up later in the day
