Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

That looks better and better John
Thank you, Jack. :)
It takes a while to build a patina because I have other dedicated food knives... plus I Flitz it once a month.
I have now been given the role of Chief Arabic Speaker, in addition to Head Bag Passer and Cake Cutter
All those roles sound super important, they found the right man for the jobs. 🤠

Good-looking knife Mike  How do you find it? The Pen on mine was a bit of a beast to open, and I found I wasn't really using it

Hope everyone is having a nice day :) I'm just back from Leeds Market, and thought I'd drop in before I have to go and cook for the arrival of Her Majesty! :D ;) I picked up some nice-looking vine tomatoes and red peppers in the market, and I have a bunch of basil to use, so I'm going to make soup. It's been cold here today, but dry and pleasant otherwise, and it was fun in the market. After a couple of hilarious transactions on my mate's tool stall, I have now been given the role of Chief Arabic Speaker, in addition to Head Bag Passer and Cake Cutter ;) :D

Thanks Jack. I have the opposite issue. The nick on the main is hidden behind the pen, and it's a fairly strong pull. Definitely not one to try opening with wet fingers :) Mine doesn't get much carry either as a result. But once you get it open, it works just fine ;)

Hope you have an enjoyable meal, and congrats on your promotion :D

The advantage of a single blade.;).

It's a very small pond my friend! :D

I don't think that is uncommon Mike  Looks like it's working for you there though buddy :)

Yes indeed :) I always thought the Lambsfoot and Pen would be a great combination, but manufacturing issues aside, I find that, with a Lambsfoot, I don't really need a secondary blade, particularly a wide, chunky one, which isn't a lot shorter than the Lamb. I think it makes better sense with a longer Lambsfoot blade, and a more slender Pen, but even then, I think I'd rather have just the Lambsfoot

Might be the blade type, i have a 2 blade and it's not an issue. I'm skirting the edges here, not a lamb.o_O:eek:. Sorry.;):)
Mine was a lambsfoot, with the pen blade covering the main nick completely. I ground the pen till I could reach the main nick, then cut an EO notch because the regrind didn't quite do the job, then deleted the pen anyway because I couldn't open it without a screwdriver.

(Brass pin because it's cheaper than nickel silver. I don't think it was quite the right diameter though.)

And quite rightly so, but i want the position of Head Cake Taster.
We buy 3 cakes for £1, so there's always plenty of cake to be tasted! 😁👍
Nicely camouflaged on the counter top 😆

Nice pics Jer 😊👍
It's the story of 100% of my Wright's two-bladers.
Hmmm🤔👍

It's certainly not a general problem with 2-blade Jack's, but let's confine ourselves to talking about Lambsfoot patterns, please ;) 👍
