It says something about a firm's QC that they wouldn't spot a fault like that, but my first GEC came like thatMine was a lambsfoot, with the pen blade covering the main nick completely. I ground the pen till I could reach the main nick, then cut an EO notch because the regrind didn't quite do the job, then deleted the pen anyway because I couldn't open it without a screwdriver.

(Brass pin because it's cheaper than nickel silver. I don't think it was quite the right diameter though.)
