Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

How was your Public House Tour yesterday, hope you avoided the ones of bad reputation.;)

It was very good Leon, thanks for asking :) Though somewhat on the short side, due to poor organisation  We only went to 4 pubs, and then ended up at a local brewery tap, where we had some food, and several more pints :) We certainly went in one pub with a poor reputation, out of a sense of nostalgia on the part of some of my boozing-mates! What a dump! It's the first time I've ever been in, and I hope the last! I was once waiting for the last bus home across the road from this pub, the best part of 20 years ago. It was close to midnight, and a couple came out of the pub with a bunch of young children. They started screaming and shouting at each other, and then had a physical fight, hitting each other with pushchairs! I've never seen anything like it!

The pub has featured in this thread before, and clearly hasn't improved  The beer selection was so awful, I reluctantly ordered a half pint, and in the time it took for me to drink that, the same two screaming drunks were thrown out of the pub twice! o_O

All in all though, it was a thoroughly good do, a great afternoon spent with really nice people :)

Thinking of going to the Royal Armouries Museum tomorrow, and carrying my under-carried Hartshead Barlow in Rosewood :)

Four pubs and a brewery would be a long tour for me!

Perhaps they were that fighting couple's young children, now all grown up.

Power went out at 3:45 this morning. As I was realizing that, I heard a squirrel in the attic. I heard it later in the morning, too.

I'm sure we can come to an arrangement.
Power came back on almost 12.5 hours later. I'm glad I wasn't here to stew about it all day.
And Michigan won! I just knew when Penn tied it up, that we'd shot our bolt, but no!

Thank you and yes I have tomorrow and Monday off.
That's nice to hear :) I hope you enjoy carrying your Lambsfoot
 good to hear, and glad you had a chance to catch up with mates.:):):)
Thanks pal :)
Thank you, Jack. :)
Now that's it's all set up in the backyard, I hope to make it a regular happening... as long as the weather holds.
Fantastic John, I'll look forward to seeing more of your pics :)
Hope it's a good trip.
Can't wait to see some pictures. 🤠
Thanks buddy, it's not such a nice day today, but still going to head down there :)

Eight pints, but we walked between the pubs, and got taxis to the brewery :)

Yes, quite possibly! I can't remember the last time I went in a pub that grim!
Sunday breakfast, Made this morning snags, straight from my butcher, egg and tabasco sauce and tomato sauce.:thumbsup::thumbsup::)

That looks like a hearty breakfast Leon :) I love that word 'snag' :) Australian-English is such a rich and interesting language, which very much reflects the Australian spirit I think. Only Australians would refer to a ferocious, oversized, man-eating crocodile, (the 'Saltie'), as if it were some kind of bar-snack! :D

Bad news Jer! :( Bats, squirrels, what next?! Maybe they think you're one of those animal-loving vegans! Cool p[ic my friend :D
I can't recall if I'd posted this side before - really lovely wood grain on this one. Thanks again to Jack Black Jack Black for this little beauty.View attachment 1681308

Glad you're pleased with it Duncan, it's great to see it with some patina  :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a good weekend :) It was a beautiful day here yesterday, and unseasonably warm, but it's cold and gloomy so far today. No sign of rain yet thankfully. I'm just waiting for Her Majesty, and then we'll head into town, and probably get a coffee on the way to the Royal Armouries museum, and have lunch afterwards. I've been many times before, but not for the past 18 months or so, because of the various lockdowns here. Have a great Sunday everyone :)

Thanks.
Yeah. The Lord may have had mercy. I haven't heard the squirrel since. It's possible that when he went out to forage he found his ladder gone, had to throw himself off the roof, and said to hell with it. (I cut back that split wild cherry that had become too close to the house during the night.)
