Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Having not been to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, I enjoyed my visit yesterday, along with the walk along the River Aire. As it was Remembrance Sunday here, we went via one of the war memorials in Leeds. The museum is vast, and we only visited a couple of the galleries (I primarily wanted to take some photos of particular pieces for my pal H herder ). We also saw a moving presentation about WW1. Here's a few pics, but there's more at the links I've pasted in below

On the way out, I spotted the Duke of Wellington parked ingloriously in the corner, behind a screen, where they were doing some work. The Iron Duke meets The Iron Lambsfoot! ;)

After our visit to the museum, we called in at a Lebanese restaurant, which does superb food. I was so distracted by the colourful mezze that I forgot to take a pic, but I did get one of our lentil soup starter, which was delicious :)

Great photos of your day Jack. Nice HHB too:thumbsup:. You can my share of lentil soup though😄.

Good morning to all you Guardians of the Lambsfoot. Doctors visit this morning to do my bloodwork as part and annual physical. Will have my HHB in my pocket when I get back home.

One might almost weary of spear polishing!

Thanks for the kind words gents. :)

I always enjoy your pictures from your visits to the Museum, Jack. 🤠

Thanks a lot John, I'm afraid it's difficult to photograph most of the exhibits, particularly with my simple camera and mediocre skills. Some of the galleries are dimly lit, and none of them are WELL lit, with the exhibits surrounded by glass, often smeared with children's hand-prints, and randomly spot-lit!

Thank you very much Bill :D Good luck with the doc buddy
Good Morning Guardians and Happy Monday
That's some nice, glossy ebony John :)

You're not kidding Jer! Every now and again, I visit when the Hall of Steel is closed, so they can clean everything, but I don't know how they manage to keep everything looking so food really. They must get through Ren Wax by the bucketful! :D

Enjoyed the pictures from the museum Jack.
I did not know about the elephant armor, very cool

Hi Guardians, I must said that you have been a faithful audience for my sourdough adventures
Thank you :)

I want to share this mornings baking.
A new combination of ingredients, this time with green olives, 3 cheese blend and garlic.

One was destined for our daughter's music teacher ... but then my wife saw them and told me to wait until next bake for that :D

My ebony lamb enjoying the warmth of the just out of the oven loaves.

Thanks, Jack. :)
I have four Lambsfoot knives and figured it was about time to start spreading some of the love around instead of abusing just one.
:D

Thanks Dan :) I believe that is the only surviving set of elephant armour left

Dan, your sourdough both looks, and sounds amazing! Mouth-watering pics too :) I am jealous of your ebony Lamb! :D

Am i just getting old and grumpy or is it reality. Looking at Jacks photos of his Sunday out and all other photos i see from most of the world, every city that has had new construction gone up all look the same. All these photos could be of the same city or any city on the planet.

Just within the past year, half a mile away from the river, a whole load of huge new buildings have gone up, which now dominate the skyline. And they are all ugly! :(

Been seeing some of your Remembrance Day services on our news, do you have all your services on the nearest Sunday of the actual day?
Usually 2 minute's silence at 11.00am on the day, and wreath-laying at the war memorials on the Sunday mate
