Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Have a good Thursday Guardians :) I'll hope to catch up when I get back from the market

Congratulations.
I have four years left.
I bet it can't come fast enough John :) When I was a boy, I remember my dad telling me that by the time I got old, folks would be retiring at 50. In fact it's gone the other way here, currently 67 and climbing :(
Thanks Jack, when things slow down around here I plan on posting more, but I’m always reading. 😉👍

Wow! Congratulations, enjoy your retirement. I’ll be there in 2 more years. 👍
Look forward to seeing more of you Todd, don't work too hard buddy :)
Good morning Guardians. Another nice day to start things off. It's Thursday do time for me to play golf. When I return I'll be doing some home projects that will put my HHB to the test.

Hope you've had a great day Bill, nice pic of your Barlow :)
Good Morning Guardians.
I hope Jack is enjoying some cake at the Market.

Another TARDIS picture to show it is indeed bigger on the inside... William Hartnell looks tiny in there. ;)

Thanks for thinking of me pal :) I ended up have a mid-morning sausage sandwich, with a couple of hash browns, and a doughnut with my coffee, so I didn't actually manage any cake. I was given my first mince-pie of the year though :) Cool pic

I understand things have changed a lot with Doctor Who since the days of William Hartnell. I remember going to see the first film as a very young child. There was a local flea-pit cinema up the road from us, and a neighbour, who worked there would let us sneak in for free. The only problem was that you had to go in after the movie had already started. I suspect that film would have been confusing enough for a pre-school child, but it was even harder to understand, since my skinflint father took me in halfway through! After seeing the ending, we then stayed for the next showing, and watched the first half of the movie! At the time I wasn't even aware that is what had happened, and I was older before I worked it out! 🧐

I hope everyone is having a good day :) It started off pretty cold here, but hasn't been a bad day at all. I slept badly last night though, and am pretty beat. I might try and get a nap before Her Majesty comes round ;) I took this photo of my Big 'Un on the tool-stall today, but it was only just now I spotted the 'Sheffield Make' (rather than 'Sheffield Made') on that old wrench. It is something commonly seen on old Sheffield knives. I'll have to see if it is still there next week

I think I saw that on TV not so long ago. The doctor was a human with a granddaughter in a miniskirt, and the daleks were as helpless as HO cars on a non-conductive surface.

I remembered another reason for the electric tea-kettle. Not only does it boil faster with less heating of the kitchen, but when you wander off and forget it it turns itself off.

No harm done.

My plan has always been to retire at 62 years old.
I won't sit still though, just haven't figured out what I'll do in retirement yet.

Considering that the Doctor is now a woman, ya... I think it's changed a little.
But I'm okay with it, the Doctor has always been about change... and it doesn't hurt that I have a little crush on the new Doctor. ;)
Your food choices sound like excellent replacements for cake, especially the donut and sausage sammich. 🤠

That's the one Jer :) :D

My maternal grandfather was something of a hoarder, and was so impressed by the idea of electric kettles, he bought 3 identical models, just in case the idea didn't catch on, and production ceased :D

I'm self-employed, and have been winding my way down into semi-retirement for the past couple of years, but my state pension won't kick in until I'm at least 67.

Yeah, my mate was telling me all about it last week! :D I haven't actually watched it until Leela The Savage left, and broke a thousand schoolboy hearts! 😢 She carried a knife, and not a lot else! 🤣

The BBC must have spent a fortune on those shows! 🤣 🤣

Thank you my friend, I've not been eating enough sausage sammichs lately! :D ;)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone has had a good week :) I'm meeting up with my pal for our regular Friday morning coffee and cake session, and then I have a few things to do around the house. Rather than my Hartshead Barlow, I decided to give my 2018 Ebony Guardians SFO some pocket-time today. Have a good FRiday Guardians
