Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I drove 7 hours yesterday down to Santa Barbara yesterday for a wedding we have to go to today. Once we got here we hiked a few miles trying to find a decent place to get some seafood that didn't have a line out the door or didn't cost $50/plate. Finally found one on the pier and it was at least decent food. But this morning my back is trashed and I'm walking around like an old man, maybe that's because I'm getting closer to old man stage anyways. Like Jack, I was in bed by 8:30. Hoping my back will lossen up by wedding time. I'll try to snap some pictures today because it is a beautiful place. I'm posting another fun Lamb pic for today until I get some scenic ones for you all.

Go Hawks!!!

Not yet, but there is The Rusty Building, as it's known locally! :D

The photo tours you all have been displaying got me to put together a small sampling of our trip to Ireland a few years back. Before I ever had a lambsfoot, but RALF would have been right at home there.

My wife took these next two as I came home on the 18th, reaching the green in two, but . . . I missed the eagle putt! :(

Love the pictures, Jack. 🤠
I'm especially fond of the rock bridges and rock walls you post.
Something about them just do my soul good, maybe I need a rock wall and bridge coffee table book.
Thanks a lot buddy :) Don't we all?! :D
Good morning Guardians. We attended an annual dinner party hosted by good friends last evening. "Friendsgiving" dinner. Everyone brings something to eat; veggies/ stuffing/filling/hors d'oeuvres. Just a wonderful time.
Today it's a sunny but chilly morning. Should warm up a bit. I'll be toting my HHB again.

Very cool pics Jeff, it's great to see them :)
I wanted to give a shout out to abbydaddy abbydaddy who took me up on trying a bottle of my homemade catsup. He generously returned the favor by sending me a jar of his homemade Damson Plumb Jam and his apple syrup. The jam has become a daily addition to my morning English muffin. 😋

That looks fantastic :) We definitely need to see that catsup though :)

Very impressive John  :)

[Not my pictures]

Good day everyone!

I need some adivce.
I'm planning on purchasing a couple lambsfoot knives. This is one of the knives i'm considering getting. However it has seen better days...It's not in horrible condition but not the best either.

My question is: Do you guy's think that the blade particularly edge will clean up nicely?

My intentions are not to get it looking brand new. But definitely with a usable edge. Possibly a razor's edge even... (as is my standard for all my blades)

I'm definitely in the 9:30 club. 😜

Thanks, Jack. It's very pretty here.
🤣
Nice line-up Jer :)
Moving on to another lambsfoot tomorrow to carry for a week, so here's my farewell photo of the rosewood HHB to end its week as featured lambsfoot:

Thank you for not mentioning the purchasing details Kevin

"The Porch was set up for the purpose of non-commercial discussion about traditional knives - to talk about KNIVES, not the BUYING OF KNIVES. As per the sub-forum guidelines, please keep questions about buying and selling out of this thread. If you see a knife you like the look of, and would like to purchase something similar, please contact the owner privately to ask about where they bought it, rather than in this thread."

I can't see any reason why that wouldn't sharpen up OK, but I'd make sure you get a pic which shows the blade in full, so that you can see that the point is intact. Do you know the maker? Compressed fibre handles like that were used by a number of firms. The one below is by Milner

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend :) I very much enjoyed my boozing session, having some excellent locally-brewed ales, in a couple of pubs, before going for some very tasty food :) I thought I'd start my week with a Waynorth Lambsfoot  Have a good week everyone
