One of the things I love about Leeds market is that it is full of 'characters', from Brian the ex-bin man, who spent a fortune crossing Russia on the Orient Express, to Barry, the old Teddy Boy, who once had to defend himself against a llama while drilling for oil in South America, and there are scores more of them. Every now and then, I spot an unassuming little feller, who I used to bump into in late-night bars and clubs, two decades ago. 'Magic Al' would wander round the city centre, when his mother probably thought he was in bed, performing the most amazing card tricks. I spotted him today, and told my mate that the little feller with the moustache, was the most amazing magician. "What him?" Said my mate, "He looks like he lives with his mother!" I told him that he may well do, but he's made my jaw drop on many an occasion. I had a look on the big tube earlier, and managed to find this...

Thank you Jack, I most certainly do love that AC- because of many reasons, aesthetically- its a winner all round, JUST like my Hartshead - that one too I love to bits.

Its been really neat watching not only patina's develop but the colouration of the Stag on the Hartsheads gather a more mature "Hue" from use - I always stop and have a wee study of the Stag on those Great Knives when our Guardian mates display them for us. :)

I took this picture for you, Jack.
My boy came home with Digestive Kit Kat bars.. can't wait to try one.
Thanks John :) Wow! That's the first I've seen of those, they look very tasty :)

I hadn't thought much about the stag Duncan, but here's a pic of my Hartshead Barlow, when new, and one I took last night :) Have a great weekend pal

That's very kind of your mother-in-law Kevin, looks like nice work :) Your Rosewood Lamb is looking good
Ebony today. Thought I would change things up from the Ironwood that I had in my pocket the las few days. Bolster looks brassy but in reality it's silver in color - guess my photo picked up some reflection from the ornament.
