The post office reminds me of the post office/sweet shop in Great Haseley fifty four years ago. I wonder if it's still there. Could be. The lady who knew which house had been my great grandfather's could even be there still. I think there is some sort of website for "The Hazeleys" ( I think there's a Little Hazeley too).
I wonder if Little Hazeley was part of the same manor. Last I knew, the manor house was no longer a veterans' hospital, but was Raymond Blanc's restaurant. He had a show combining elements of Shark Tank and Top Chef.
Most small villages here have now been stripped of their amenities, to the point they are just a collection of houses - no shop, no post office, no pub, no school, even some of the churches are closed or 're-purposed'
