Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is doing OK, and that you have something planned for the weekend. I thought I'd have a Double Lambsfoot day :)

The post office reminds me of the post office/sweet shop in Great Haseley fifty four years ago. I wonder if it's still there. Could be. The lady who knew which house had been my great grandfather's could even be there still. She didn't seem old to a ten-year-old at the time.

I was just looking online Jer, and it looks like it's a private house now. There are only a fraction of the post offices here that there used to be :( There's probably a village forum you might be able to track down that info though

Love both of those knives Jack. Looks like you are in the Christmas spirit.

Good morning to all you Guardians. Getting my home ready to receive my children and their significant others:). One thing I know for sure is that I need to reduce the amount of decorations that my wife and I have. I really don't think we could use them all even if we tried😏. Not true about my knives though😌. My forever favorite knife is in my pocket today.

Funny, that actually smarts a bit. I only saw the place once for a few minutes.
I think there is some sort of website for "The Hazeleys" ( I think there's a Little Hazeley too).

I wonder if Little Hazeley was part of the same manor. Last I knew, the manor house was no longer a veterans' hospital, but was Raymond Blanc's restaurant. He had a show combining elements of Shark Tank and Top Chef.

Thank you very much Bill, I thought I might as well get some extra use out of my Christmas cards! :D ;) Have a wonderful time with your family :) I'm glad you like your Hartshead Barlow so much, that's a great pic

I'm not familiar with that area at all, but I usually find it depressing when I go back to places I knew as a boy, they tend to have changed for the worse :( Most small villages here have now been stripped of their amenities, to the point they are just a collection of houses - no shop, no post office, no pub, no school, even some of the churches are closed or 're-purposed' :(

I hope you don't need those Band-Aids Jer! :D
