There are no "back-up" Lamb pics. The back-up pic from yesterday
If you have to pick two Lambs... those two would be at the top of most people's lists.
That’s a good one John. It reminds me of when Radar O’Rielly on the show M*A*S*H was writing a letter to his mother and said, “I’m writing this slow because I know you don’t read too fast.”

You guys and gals have had one heck of a long shift now TedGood morning Guardians! I miss my daily routine, the days when I could take time on The Porch.... work is busy and getting busier (thanks Omicron) and caring for my mom along with the other house chores fills up my days.
I hope all of you are keeping well and stay healthy.
One question: can the GEC #5 keychain knife (053121) be considered a lambsfoot?
In case I don't make it back here in time, I wish everyone a Happy/Merry Healthy Christmas.
They're on to us Todd! Time to come clean...He's givingredsparrow a run for his money.

Yeah. Even in 1967, the rooves were no longer thatched, and someone had built a new house in my great gramma's garden.I'm not familiar with that area at all, but I usually find it depressing when I go back to places I knew as a boy, they tend to have changed for the worseMost small villages here have now been stripped of their amenities, to the point they are just a collection of houses - no shop, no post office, no pub, no school, even some of the churches are closed or 're-purposed'
I forget, do you have a lambsfoot? One question: can the GEC #5 keychain knife (053121) be considered a lambsfoot?

A while back I became aware of a talented and creative young gun with whom I knew I'd never be able to compete, so I gladly accepted an arrangement that he brokered. I'm not at liberty to disclose who it was or the details but I can say thathe has graciously allowed me to continue to post photos here... (that he has previously approved)bigfish64
Such as this one.

In all seriousnessTodd's photos are wonderful

Well, if you're asking about the knife, yes, I have a few... otherwise I have two normal feetI forget, do you have a lambsfoot?
Covid isn't making us any smarter. Here the virus is worse than ever, and it's only a matter of time till omicron takes over, and more than half of us are too stupid to mask.
Interesting photo JamesThey're on to us Todd! Time to come clean...

It sounds like an interesting place Jer. The changes in these small villages are certainly nothing new, but currently I am seeing a lot of small towns and villages being altered out of all recognition, due to relaxations in the planning laws here. Typically, developers will build huge housing estates on what was once classed as 'Green-Belt' land, adjacent to the existing village, which more than doubles the population, and alters the nature of it completely. Then they have to build new roads to accommodate the extra traffic, and those rich folks want to have their groceries delivered from an out-of-town supermarket, rather than go to the local shop. The places worst affected have generally been on rural train-lines within an hour of large cities, but since so many people work from home these days, even those once-tranquil villages, in the middle of nowhere, are no longer safeYeah. Even in 1967, the rooves were no longer thatched, and someone had built a new house in my great gramma's garden.
I think the church of Sts Peter and Paul is still a church. Time Team should have dug it up to see if the whatsit transept is really a Saxon church. The area belonged to Eddy Confessor's Queen Edith.
I hope enough will be learned fast enough to save a remnant of us, but if I had a ranch I wouldn't be betting it. Thanks for hanging in there. The Waynorth is my unicorn, the other was the HHB but I got lucky and snagged one after stalking the internet for almost two years. I know exactly what you mean about the Covid getting worse and I'm guesstimating Omicron to take over by end of January. As far as I know, Omicron symptoms are slightly milder, especially if you got vaccinated, but it is much more virulent.
Oh, well, be grateful for what we had, I guess. The places worst affected have generally been on rural train-lines within an hour of large cities, but since so many people work from home these days, even those once-tranquil villages, in the middle of nowhere, are no longer safe
