Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians! -16° out when I took Eleanor to school this morning, -11° currently, so I’m going to stay indoors and dream about warm summer afternoons drinking beer outside. 😎

That's COLD Barrett! :eek: Definitely Stingo weather :) :thumbsup:
Hello All. Have a great dayView attachment 1724758
Cool pic of your ebony Lamb :cool: Different theatre, but I enjoyed watching Fury last night :thumbsup:
Was there any doubt? 🤣

Sorry you had such cold weather.
The cake cutting is always looked forward to, but that sausage sammich looks amazing. 🤠:thumbsup:
LOL! :D Everyone on the market said it was the coldest day they remembered! :eek: That sausage sammich could just have saved me from hypothermia buddy! ;) :D :thumbsup:

It was quite good, one of my favorites from my early-pandemic Sam Smith’s haul. And I’d have to say the Ironwood is probably my favorite Guardian Lambsfoot. :thumbsup:

Great pics my friend :) :thumbsup:
You should be here, that is exactly what we are having at the moment, going to have a run of really warm nights over the next week. Not falling below about 75 degrees for most of the nights. Lucky i have a good fan at the end of the bed.:)
Hope you get through it mate :) :thumbsup:
I don't like warm nights. It's hard to get comfortable.
I prefer chilly or cold nights, when you can bury yourself under layers of blankets.
Got my central heating cranked up to the max here tonight, but reckon I'll still need some extra bedding ;) :thumbsup:

Hope you get through it mate
All good, i have air-con if it gets stifling, but usually just the fan at the end of the bed is fine. Leaving the windows and doors really helps even if there is a light breeze. But the upsize is makes me want to get up early and go for a swim.

All of these guardians of the Lambsfoot and no lambs or sheep in sight. 🤢 I reckon I missed the boat when I was away and playing with flintlock rifles and fishing too much ! You guys had me on the prowl for lambs last night and I found a few A. Wrights, but, the pictures were so small I just could not tell if that was what I wanted.

I gave up and went back on the prowl for more old Catts.

Seriously though, I do like all the Arthur Wright knives being posted (and guarded :p ) here and especially that fancy A. Wright Barlow Mr. Jack keeps totin' around, which seems to have made him forget all of his other knives !😂

I might take a turn guarding if I have any luck corralling one of them lambs. 😇

Good day guardians. I hope y'all are doing well. I am feeling peckish, and I wish I had a toasted cheese to use this lil' lamb on right now.

Great to see you here buddy, and your 2018 Guardians SFO is looking well-loved :) Nice pic 😎👍

Nice to see you here my friend :) I'm afraid you missed a LOT in terms of Lambsfoot knives :( Between 2017 and 2019 I had about a dozen Lambsfoot SFOs made up, to my design, under the previous ownership of Wright's (few examples below). Many of the knives you'll see here are those knives, and other standard models, manufactured during the same period, when they were a much better company than today. There are some beautiful vintage models too, but they're getting scarcer and scarcer :( Good luck in finding one Mr P, and be sure to PM me if I can help. Also, be sure to check out post #1 here :thumbsup:

Looks like I haven't posted here for a week; sorry.:( Something seems to be wrong with 2022 - there's far less time in each day than has been the case in previous years! o_O

Thank you very much Gary :) Unfortunately, I've had to return home, as the post office have a delivery for me. I'm hoping they come soon, so I can return to the market :thumbsup:

Showing off some of your vices/vises, Jack?? 🤓 :thumbsup::cool:

Thanks for the pictorial trip down memory lane, GT. 🤠:thumbsup:
...
Very nice to see the aging of a Lambsfoot.
...
Thanks for the comments, John & Rachel. :)

...
Here's my Bagpipe Big-un, two years from new:
...
I have Flitzed my Rosewood Big 'Un a couple of times, so it has changed quite a bit over the years :thumbsup:
Thanks for the photos of the evolution of your big lambsfoot knives, Rachel & Jack! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

...
Good Morning Guardians
I always enjoy the visual treats you post for us, Harvey! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
Brought this one along today.View attachment 1720150
Really like that one, Todd - elegant simplicity! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Those rosewood HHBs are fine lambsfoot examples! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

A sunny day at last here in Yorkshire! :) Cold, but a nice day for a walk in the park with my pal, and his daft dog ;) Unfortunately, the cafe in the park was only doing takeaway coffees, so I had to take pics one-handed :rolleyes:
...
Great sunny pics, Jack! :thumbsup::cool::cool: Taken with the new camera?

My Lambsfoot is hanging around with some leftover spider webs covered in frost this morning. Hope everyone is having a great day. 😊View attachment 1720967
Fantastic foto, Todd! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Good day everyone. I'd like to formally submit my application for membership into the Guardians, having gone from zero to two lambsfoot knives in a few days. Neither are new, but are new to me courtesy of fellow Guardians bigfish64 bigfish64 and @JohnDF . I think most everyone will recognize Skoll, who was generously rehomed by John, and a rosewood(?) lamb I picked up in a trade with Todd.

Congrats on joining the Guardians, Jeremy!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: That's a fine pair of lambsfoots you've acquired; Skoll is certainly the most famous lupine lambsfoot of which I'm aware! 🤓

...

Krispy Kreme Orignal and a Taylor Eye Witness…Big smile on my face.
Striking wood grain and creepy eyes, Harvey! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks for the good wishes GT. Yip, that's the Rochdale canal that runs between Rochdale in Lancashire and Sowerby Bridge in West Yorkshire, which opened in 1804.
Thanks for the info and canal link, David! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Been a busy week at work and such like but got out on a walk yesterday.
Great photos, David! :cool::cool::thumbsup: I've missed your pie shots! Do you have a pet chicken that accompanies you on your rambles?? 🤓

You are braver than I am.
Anything with more than six legs creeps me out.
Your beloved Seattle Seahawks have WAY more than 6 legs! 😁

Some pics from my hike today :) :thumbsup:
Really enjoyed those photos, Jack! :thumbsup::cool::cool: I like your version of winter more than my version! ;)

Outstanding shot of your AC, Dylan! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Admiring your lambsfoot on chip butty duties I spied your coaster. Here it is hanging on a wall:
Fascinating shots, David! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I'm glad you understand, Jack.
The Ebony has a simple and sleek elegance to it.
But the Jigged Bone is Bold and Beautiful... makes for a tough choice.
You could talk me into taking either one - no arm-twisting needed! 🤓 :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Happy Sunday Guardians.

Jack's little Wasp keychain slingshot a few pages back made me want to share mine. Haven't banded it up and probably won't, but it's a fun addition to the keys.

Great pic of your "Bold and Beautiful" WCLF, Mike! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I won't tell if you won't! We have them drumming and drilling our cedar shakes. Believe me, I've been tempted.......
A visit with some good friends that don't get out much. The only fishing I'll be doing around here is of the ice variety....

Splendid horn/stag pairing, Gary! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for leaving the door open, my friend. I'm feelin' fancy so I have the stag HHB helping me out today.
I think I am going to need to rebuild the carburetor :(
...
You've got a carburetor in your stag HHB?? What does good old Jake have - fuel injectors? 😁

Good Evening Guardians.
What a deliciously cheesy lambsfoot! :cool::cool: 🤓

...
I'll be having my HHB back in the pocket for company today.:thumbsup:

Another superb shot of your stag HHB, Bill! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Got another dusting of snow last night. No school today, so if I can find a place big enough, I may start this puzzle today. Have a great day Guardians. 😊👍View attachment 1722966
That looks like the kind of puzzle I could actually complete and enjoy! :cool::thumbsup::cool: I was in my 20s in the 70s (and now I'll be in my 70s in the 20s 😲 ). I wonder about the accuracy of their dates. Nancy Sinatra's big hit "These Boots Are Made for Walkin" and the album "Boots" was mid-60s, and I couldn't even find online the album pictured in the puzzle. I think there were several greatest hits albums with that photo (not from the 70s), but not the text shown on the puzzle.

My lambsfoot this week is Cracker Jack:

Good morning Guardians, looks like we've almost made it through another week ;) Hope everyone has had a good one :) Cold here again, and I could have done without another early start :D ;) Have a good Friday Guardians :) :thumbsup:

Good morning Jack, nice photo of your HHB. Cold here too with Ice and snow on the way. Very unusual for North Carolina.

Hey there Guardians, hope you all are doing well. Going to stay hunkered down for the next two days depending on what the weather does. Rare winter storm is hitting the southeastern U.S.
Keeping my HHB safe and sound indoors today and tomorrow.

Thank you very much Bill :) I hope that you can stay warm there buddy, and that the snow doesn't cause too much disruption. It's always good to have a Hartshead Barlow close to hand ;) :thumbsup: One of my neighbours told me there is snow forecast today, but while cold, this morning was bright and sunny, and I enjoyed having a walk in the park, with my pal and his dog :thumbsup:

Thanks Gary, I'm happy to be here, though that would not be the case were it not for the generosity of a few other Guardians. Your lambsfoot for the week is a fine one. :thumbsup:

I’ve experienced some strange phenomena recently as well Gary. I’m calling it “storage shrinkage.” The other day I got out a sweater that I haven’t worn for a few years and it was much smaller than I remembered! 🤣
Really like that one, Todd - elegant simplicity! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Fantastic foto, Todd! :cool::thumbsup:
Thanks for the compliments Gary. 😊👍

Yeah, I was in grade school to early high school for the 70s, and I didn’t recognize all the references.
