Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Double Lambsfoot Day for me! :)

John beat me to it Jack, but I dropped my phone laughing when I saw this! 🤣
Good Morning Guardians
I'm continuing on with my Charlie Lamb.
I 'think' I'm starting to get used to it, the blade angle isn't bugging me quite as much.
I do love the beauty, the F&F, the 'snappy' action, the slim frame, the gorgeous Ebony, and just the over-all quality of the knife.
My goal is to become comfortable enough with the blade angle so i can alternate between the Usual Lamb and the Charlie Lamb.
Also, I want to send a Thank You to my friend, Todd. He is keeping me in cool beads and I think I'm starting to get a collection going.
Glad to hear you’re getting along with your Charlie Lamb John, maybe all you needed was a little bead to spice up the relationship! 🤣🤣🤣

This is the traditional way my side of the family eats cornbread, butter and maple syrup. My wife thought it was weird (she puts peanut butter on her BLT so…🙄). After she tried it, it’s now the only way our kids know. 👍View attachment 1735461
That looks delicious Todd :) It's been a while since I last had cornbread, but I'm definitely going to give that a try

A couple of weeks back, there was a small discussion about Zippo handwarmers in one of the Porch threads, with Peregrin Peregrin asking about them, I think. Well, this isn't a Zippo, but it's pretty old I reckon, older than the Zippo handwarmer, which (surprisingly) only dates to 2010

That's a fascinating rabbit-hole to go down, for any knife collector, Jon
It is for sure. I think a component of what makes these knives special is the unique enthusiasm amongst the people who contribute to this thread. I’m only on page 45 so I have about 5 years of content to still go through.
You represent well my friend. 😎👍
Thanks Todd. While my wife thinks I have way too many knives, and while I like them all there are a few that just kind of take you by surprise. This is one of the few I can remember being totally taken and smitten by. I’ll figure out a way to adequately repay you for correcting my poor life choice of not having one previously.

That's a very cool old treasure, Jack.
But I hope that doesn't require the user to have an open flame in their pocket.
Thanks John :) Hey, I'm not saying I'd use it! :D ;)
ummmm... NO!
My wife likes BLT sammiches, but I never could understand the appeal of salad on toast.
LOL! :D I was round at a friend's for lunch last week, and he asked me if I wanted a BLT or a bacon sandwich with ketchup. Don't know why he bothered asking! 🤣

Come for the knives, stay for the Guardians! ;) :D Good luck with your marathon my friend, there are a few folks who've done it at least once :)

🤣 Every time you post a picture I’m repaid many times over my friend. 😊👍

3 egg omelette for me this morning with a little LA pepper sauce
Looking good.

Yay! Nice.

Great look at your vintage treasure,
But I hope that doesn't require the user to have an open flame in their pocket.
i was 10, delivering newspapers in bitter cold, with one of these in my jacket pocket, to warm my hands. Worked well. Don’t recall an open flame.

Good Morning Guardians.

If you're currently finding posting/browzing harder than ever, there's an update here, explaining why (reply there, not here please)

Thanks Harvey, that's cool you had one, was yours the Aladdin brand (which I think were sold in the US)? I delivered newspapers too, from 11 to 16, 6 evenings a week, twice on Saturday, and Sunday morning. Pay was 50p per week (around a Dollar at the time), for the first couple of years. That won't even buy you a Snickers bar here now!

Fantastic cake and Waynorth Lambsfoot pic my friend :) I had a slice of chocolate cake this morning, but it was far too sweet for me, so my pal scoffed it! :D

It wasn't me, Jack! But that hand warmer brings back memories from years ago. My dad used to take my brother and me ice fishing on Oneida Lake. No ice shanty, no snowmobile, no gas powered ice augur. Dragged our gear out onto the ice on a sled, used a homemade ice chisel (spud) to chop through the foot or more of ice. We'd get our tip ups in the water and huddle around a pathetic little wood fire, shivering with our teeth rattling!

We each had one of those handwarmers in our pocket, thank the Lord! I've never been that cold again in my life!

John, no flame. They just kind of smolder, but they are warm! I sure remember them fondly!

Talk about tasty look treats, that looks fantastic, you may have to lick the icing of your Lambsfoot though. 🤣
