Seems like a reasonable decision.Yes, we are putting it off for now... there is no hurry.
Thanks for your encouraging comments, Harvey....
A beautiful knife with a well used collander.
Nice house, GT,

Thanks palThat's quite a sleep
In the 80's, my dad used to take nitrazapam on prescription. It never seemed to have any adverse affect upon him, so far as I could tell, but I wouldn't take it myself
Thanks again Gary, I noticed a few more crocuses and daffodils out on Friday, but they were looking a bit 'wind-swept'. I hope spring comes soon my friend![]()
Thank you, those 'Bexoid' handles seem pretty tough![]()

I admire the rugged rosewood on your HHB, José!
Congrats on that stag lambsfoot senator, Bill! That is some awesome Stag on your HHB. I really like the way the Butterfinger colors match up with the colors of the Stag.
Really cool pics of your HHB and the "River Ouse".
Hello Guardians and all. Today we are going to have another great day here in southern coastal NC. Going to carry my new Senator today and borrow a slip from one of my other knives to protect it from dings, etc.

After it stopped raining this morning, having been indoors since Friday, I thought I needed to get out and get some exercise and fresh air. I walked down to my favourite cafe, and had a coffee and a croissant, then walked into town. There's currently a lot of flooding in my area, but the River Aire, which passes through Leeds city centre, widens out considerably, as it does so, having been enlarged when the canal, which runs parallel to it, for many miles, was built. Because of that, while the river was engorged, the flooding wasn't too serious, and since I found myself down at the Royal Armouries, I thought I'd call in, even though I hadn't booked. They were happy to let me in, but the museum was overflowing with children on the first day of a week's holiday, and overrun with costume superheroes, entertaining them.
I enjoyed your photos of your trip to the Royal Armouries, Jack!Thank you very much ToddThey had a new book out at the museum, a bit pricey at £40, but I haven't spent anything over the weekend

Outstanding knife and photo, Taylor; good luck with the mead-making!Threw this in my pocket. Big “storm” rolling through tomorrow, so I got an extra load of fire wood to the house. I’m excited because it’s the first weather we have had come through in a while. We had a great start to our winter season, but it dried out. Hopefully this is a sign of a wet end of winter and spring.

On a side note, I just bought a kit for making mead. My dad and I are gonna try and make some this weekend. Either cherry or pomegranate. I will keep the Guardians posted!
Quite an irresistible trio, Greg!!...
While we were there, my wife made some chocolate donuts. I showed one earlier, but here is another in its full tasting experience, accompanying a local coffee stout.

Nice pair of photos of the development of your pair of HHBs over the years, Jack; perfect choice for 22/02/2022!
And if you use "American notation" for dates, we've got more than a week of consecutive palindrome days: 2.20.22, 2.21.22, ..., 2.28.22!!It's a Palindrome day.
Watch Out!! Brookes and Crookes!

Interesting info about your father's sleeping prescription.
You're certainly getting a lot of rain, Jack!Is February often your "monsoon season" or do many of your rains come as "April showers"?
Yeah, I like the "utilitarian beauty" of your Bexoid Lamb!![]()
Good to see Man JackCongrats on that stag lambsfoot senator, Bill!
I have a similar knife I won in a GAW from a gentleman in Manchester, England, and I've named it Man Jack:

Thanks Gary, I'm not sure if they have any of those. The Romans (and many others) made great use of the sling, and there were also huge siege catapults, but the use of rubber for slingshot bands is a relatively recent thing. You might enjoy this videoI enjoyed your photos of your trip to the Royal Armouries, Jack!Does the book, or the museum itself, show any "weapons-grade" slingshots/catapults similar to the ones with which you and several other Guardians practice?

I and imagine everyone else here really enjoy any discussions about the Lambsfoot. There is a wealth of knowledge here, and any information that we can all learn from is a huge positive. And i mean any information, history, use, production, sharpening, even faultsThis post and the ensuing discussion of HT has been very interesting to read. Thank you.
I'm waiting until they call up the over 60's!Kudos for your contributions. Cheers!
Good work TaylorFed the yeast, and degassed the mead.
