Thanks guys, I likely wouldn't have been brave enough to try my luck at getting a new one for myself had it not been for those two gentlemen.

I wore DMs from being a youngster, into my mid 30s :D I still have a pair, though it's been a while since I last wore them :) My grandfather wore them into his 80's! :D Cool pic Pete :thumbsup:

I had to go into town, so I thought I would call in at a large 'International Supermarket', to see if I could pick up a bottle of Marie Sharp's Habanero Pepper Sauce. They had shelf after shelf of hot sauce, but nothing from Belize. I purchased a bottle of Cholula, which looked familiar. In town, I called in at a specialist shop, and they had Marie Sharp's there. The proprietor was telling me about what a lovely lady Ms Sharp is :D In conversation, I asked if they had Secret Aardvark, which btb01 btb01 introduced me to. He was very surprised I had heard of it, and told me that he found it very hard to get hold of, but that it was his favourite, of all the products he stocked. I bought a bottle, and the chap reckoned that the last bottle on the shelf was the last Secret Aardvark in Europe! It's been so hard for him to get hold of, he'd actually sourced an alternative range from Texas, Yellowbird. I had a taste, and ended up buying a bottle. A bit of an expensive hot-sauce buying trip - £30 ($40) - but I'm well stocked up for when I start drinking beer again! :D :thumbsup:

That’s awesome, Jack! 😎 It’s also interesting to see all the Hot Ones branding in the shop there. I don’t know if you’re familiar, but it’s a show on YouTube where the host interviews celebrities while they eat increasingly hotter wings. Depending on the celebrity, it can be pretty entertaining. It also happens to be where I first heard about Secret Aardvark.

The Garlic Fresno hot sauce I shared here a while back is one of their own sauces (pretty good, too, although very mild).

Those were the cool shoe/boot to have when I was in school. Been years since I had a pair.

I watched a few episodes of that show several years ago Barrett, but hadn't actually made the connection (not leasr, since I couldn't remember what it was called!) :D I might have to check it out again :) Nice sauce package there my friend, and it's good to see one of the horn '18s :cool: :thumbsup:

I mainly wore the boots :) They weren't a fashion item when I was a kid - they sure have made some money since then! :eek :D Even when I was in my late 20's, the boots were only about £22, from the market (the shoes were around £15). The prices have gone through the roof since then! :eek: :rolleyes: I have a pair of Bates boots on the way, not had them before :thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians, hope everyone is keeping well :) As I mentioned before, my pal down the road has a day off work, and so we off to a fancy pub-restaurant for lunch, and then to see the new Batman film :) Have a good day Guardians :thumbsup:

I got a text from my mate, about an hour before he was due to pick me up, letting me know that someone he'd been with on Friday, including about 4 hours in the car, had tested positive for Covid. The good news was that my mate had a negative lateral flow test. He said he had some cold symptoms, but didn't think they were Covid. My mate is a senior mental health support worker, and worked right through the pandemic, often going into homes where people were infected, with almost no protection at all. It's a miracle he hasn't been infected multiple times. I thanked him for letting me know, and said I might wear a mask in the car to be on the safe side. He said he'd do a second test before setting off, and as it turns out, the result was positive :(

Thanks buddy, I'll just have to console myself with Adam West's ghosted autobiography - which, I have to say, would have made a reasonable magazine article :D ;) Hopefully, he'll be OK, he's only in his 40's, fit, and has had all his shots :thumbsup:
