Hope everyone is having a good day. Finally had the chance to meet up with fellow guardian M mcc850 . Bonus is I got to nerd out talking about knives on my birthday. It was fitting that both of us had our lambfoots from bigfish64 bigfish64 so he could be there in spirit. Thanks Mark for lunch and I had a blast!
Fantastic stuff Jon, sounds like a great time :) Happy Birthday, and Many Happy Returns :)

Hmm...I could just drink a Black & Tan! :D ;)

Two great knives there, Jon. Happy birthday, it sounds like you had a great time.

Good Morning Guardians.
Great picture John. 😎👍
Thanks GT, I certainly count myself lucky that I was able to get it and am thankful for the generous Porch member that offered it to me. Though I carried my stag lamb for the weekend, this one is back in my pocket again today.

Awesome knife Jeremy. 😎👍
You've piqued my interest now David! :) Great pic of your Hartshead Barlow :)

LOL! :D I had a Dan Dare Ray Gun quite like that Jer, probably be worth a fortune now! :D

What was the Guardians Latin motto we were all going to have embroidered on our blazers a few years back Gary, I've completely forgotten?! :D

There are several different types here Gary, and I have had two different types. It heats hot water, which goes through pipes to radiators, on the walls of each room, to provide heating, and also provides hot water.

When I got in on Saturday evening, the radiators were cold, and the pressure needle had dropped below zero. I ended up fixing it myself

Thanks Gary :D :)

They never stop wringing money out of us do they? The radio I had bought for £20, a decade or so before, packed in about 18 years ago, and as they were supposed to be making all the radio channels digital here at the time, I paid over £100 for a digital radio. They use a lot more power, and since then I have had to buy 2 more. The third is on its way out now, and plans to digitise all the stations has been abandoned, so I'll be going back to a cheap transistor radio  A 'cheap' phone is now anything under $500 apparently  So far, I'm not very impressed with my new phone, it's very 'clunky'. It's 5G, but we're only on 4G in my area  Good luck Gary

Cutting my toe-nails is more entertaining than the television! :D ;)

Good luck Bill  You may be able to relate to this ;) :D

Thanks John :) It's been quite a pleasant one, I went to see Barber Brian, had a look round the market, and, for lunch, I had a nice sandwich in a Mediterranean cafe, which came with a 'potato salad' ;) :D

Fried potato salad, love it! 😄👍

Well Happy Birthday, Jon. Let the good times continue.
Had some nice light this morning. View attachment 1772167
The light is your friend, Todd. Really makes for an excellent image.
That picture really POPs, Harvey. ;)
"Cha-Ching"
Thank you my friend.

Just a quick reply before I go to bed, Jack. I did a search and I think you're thinking of "Seize the day! Seize the lambsfoot!" Does that ring a bell?
The earliest I can find it without "intensive research" is in Dave's signature line in this post from 1 Sept 2018. But the fact that he has it in his sig suggests the phrase had been discussed earlier, although I didn't find an earlier occurrence with my only search so far.
That's right it's Saturday sausage sandwich day! I remember years ago on a flight back from a week in Hong Kong, all I could think about was a bologna sandwich, with tomato, mayo, and mustard. :p

Nasty weather in central Texas. Had a tornado warning here for an hour. My two friends at my family’s side. Hope all have a good evening. Texas weather, it’s sunny outside after sheeting rainView attachment 1772437
Ready to shoot that tornado, Tex? ;)

I wasn't expecting to actually go sit in the closet (only room without windows in the house), but after watching that one cross I-35 about 10 miles to the north on live TV, I figured better safe than sorry.

😅

My storm plan calls for everything so I have a few tools to grab when we get into the safe space. Lucky for us we had sheeting rain. No hail or heavy wind. I am with you. Better safe than sorry. Glad you were okay. 😃

*** we also only have some hall space without windows. Not like up North where you have a basement. Texas basement = solid Limestone
