Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I met up with Bart today at the place he runs his cattle and we fished in his pond.
Bart's a great guy with an epic mustache and was nice enough to let me catch some of the fish too. 😀
What an awesome day. Will you look at what you caught!

Cute little fella, reminds me of something…
🤔

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I have some stuff to do in the house to do again today, but hoping I might be able to get out later. Enjoy your Sundays Guardians, and be careful...Lucy is out of the box! :D ;)
Beautiful knife, Jack. Will try to post my desert ironwood soon--too pretty to use!

My wife recommended Stoker's book, and my daughter loved it. After a chapter and a half, I gave up! I do like the Lugosi film, though: "I never drink . . . wine." "Your will is strong, Van Helsing!" "Children of the night. Listen to them! What music they make!" Lots of great scenes and quotes.

Finished making these on the weekend. Kangaroo leather on aluminium backing plates. 2 plain leather and 2 with some diamond spray.

Nice patina on your '18 Jer
Finally getting around to my Lamb carry today. We are going to walk the dogs and cook some dinner for the wife. View attachment 1783603
Sounds like a nice day Pete :)
Looking good there :)

I remember reading it when I was about 13, after my dad recommended it. It's quite 'Of it's time' in terms of the repeated use of correspondence as narrative, something which I don't think many authors would use to that extent today. It's only in the past few decades that the town of Whitby have exploited their role in the book, but they've pulled out all the stops since then  It now has two well-attended 'Goth Weekend's a year, and you can barely pass through the churchyard without stumbling over pasty-faced Goths lying among, and atop, the gravestones taking selfies! The church are so fed up of people asking after the whereabouts of Dracula's grave, they've had to put up a sign!

Nice work Leon  Cambertree Cambertree sent me a strip of kangeroo leather I need to put to use :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend, and that the coming week starts well for you. I'm just watching the crows and magpies competing for nest space in the trees outside. In another month, they'll be hidden among the leaves. The weather here isn't so good, but I could do with going to town. Starting my week with my Hartshead Barlow :) Have a good day everyone

What sort of confectionary are they???

Never heard of them, but they sound and look good.:p:p:p
Me neither, until I spotted them yesterday! :D They're tasty, I don't know why they bother putting them in a resealable pack! :D Real fruit juice, and no sugar, so they must be healthy! :D ;)
I guess epistolary novels aren't as popular these days.
Thanks Rachel, I never knew that's what they were called  I don't read too many contemporary novels, so I may be wrong. A friend sent me a bunch of her novels about a year ago, (as I've never bothered to buy them :D), and one of those had quite a bit of correspondence in it.

I'm just a vocabulary show-off.

One thing I enjoy about Victorian novels, is that if there happens to be an American character, they are always a Texan. Got a laugh at the fellow bringing along his six-guns to battle Dracula.
LOL! :D

Yes, hilarious! :D

I read an annotated Dracula that had an appendix with the authentic undead traditions, which are pretty unlike our modern conceptions of vampires.
Also useful tips like, if you know somebody has a broken back, don't turn him over.

I think Drac's grave is known, at a monastery on an island, but maybe that was only a theory.

Now I have mild arthrosis in both hands (= osteoarthritis (my confidence grows every time they change a name)). But it isn't the autoimmune disorder I feared. Long may Dr. E. continue to find my medical intuitions laughable.

That's a very good tip Jer!

Sorry to hear this Jer, but glad you don't have the autoimmune disorder  I need to go and register with another practice
Good Morning Guardians
Hope your week is off to a great start
Beautiful John
