Thanks Steve, that's greatly appreciated my friend :)

Hope your day went OK Greg, your Lambsfoot is a sweetheart

Glad you're finally over it, and 'fit for work' :) Blood Lamb is looking good :)

It's nice to see Old Toffee Wings Jer :)

Thanks John, I had some dinner guests :) I was hoping to call in later in the evening, but we were still drinking wine at midnight :D In the past 10 years, there have been very few days when I haven't posted on The Porch, even when on vacation, but I'm just another poster, and may not always be here I'm afraid. If that day comes, I'll miss you guys like crazy, but you have my email address buddy

Yes, the time-zones definitely make a difference! :D

Hope you're managing to keep cool Rachel :)

That's very kind of you Dwight, I am often entranced myself, by the beautiful photos people post here, and the varied and spectacular scenery :)

That is very interesting Harry, I think the nearest we have here are walnuts, though they are fairly easy to crack

Your Zephr sounds like a work of art Duncan, I would love to see a photo if you have one :) Oh, but what a mishap! Oh no! :( I hope you weren't too heartbroken my friend :)

Good morning Guardians, looks like we've just about made it through another week, and I hope that everyone is OK, and looking forward to the weekend. We've had 3 hot days - hot by Yorkshire standards, I hasten to add! :D But, typically, the weather is set to turn tomorrow, with the possibility of heavy downpours, so I'm not sure what is going to be on the agenda here. Have a good Friday Guardians, I'm carrying an Old Friend :)

Hope you stay warm and dry for the weekend Jack. Here in NC we are hot and muggy. We could stand to get some more rain. Your Ebony LF is looking good.

Thanks Bill, it's a pretty nice day today :) Radio says it's '42' in London, but I'm not sure what that is in real money ;) Thank you kindly :)
Sounds like a good excuse to me. 🤠
Yeah, I don't think we've really got back to socialising here after the lockdowns of the past couple of years, that's the first time I've had friends round for dinner in ages :D
Absolutely beautiful, my friend. 🤠
Thank you very much buddy :)
Good Morning Guardians
I hope everybody has a good Friday and kicks their weekend off well.
I have workers coming back today to clean up a job they completely mucked up yesterday.

That's annoying John, I hope they clean up properly this time 🤨 Fantastic photo of your Charlie Lamb :)
A dolly on a doily Jer! :D ;)

Yes, I could have done a much better job myself.
We had the grout redone in our kitchen. The grout lines are crooked, they got grout all over the counters and cabinets, and worst of all... they didn't even remove the switch covers, they just grouted around them. They better fix it!!!

Thank you, my friend. :)

That's absolutely terrible John :( Hope everything is sorted out to your satisfaction my friend :)

Thanks Harvey, apparently the hood came up, smashed the windscreen and blocked his view briefly, before it fell back onto the road, and shredded the front tire. My mate reckons he can fix everything inexpensively, and has been busy cutting his hedge. He admitted finding the whole thing exciting! 🙄😁👍

To be fair, he does look like the kind of guy who would find that sort of crazy mishap exciting rather than distressing. 😁

When I was in high school, I spent a summer working in my uncle’s tire shop, fixing flats, mounting tires, doing oil changes, etc. One day one of the mechanics took a pickup truck out for a test drive, drove about a mile down the road, turned around and was coming back when the hood flew up and smashed into the windshield. The side and back windows of the truck were so darkly tinted that he said it instantly became nearly pitch black in the cab, and he had to peek through the small gap the hood left at the bottom of the windshield to stop the truck without running into anything.

Degrees?! 42° C would be 107° F. Are you sure they didn’t say 32? That’d be around 90° F, which appears to be close to the current temp in London.

Here’s a summertime Lambsfoot pic. I took this one for Ron a couple years ago. Unfortunately, Tennessee (Ron’s team) didn’t make it to the College World Series this year, but my Arkansas Razorbacks did.

Blimey, I never realised accidents like this were so common! 😳

Sorry Barrett, I must have misheard the radio! 😁 Thanks for the correction! 😁👍

That is such a beautiful image Harvey. I do so love your pics my friend. Keep up the good work.
Very kind words, Dwight. Thank you, i always get a peaceful feeling when I view your images in yours and theirs’ tranquil setting.
This was a show car in its presentation.
Wish you had an image. An unfortunate outcome, but what a labor of love.
but I'm just another poster, and may not always be here I'm afraid
True in one sense, but not in another, Captain Jack.

Having grown up in Omaha my dad took my brother and me to Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium for the Series every year. Saw more than one future big leaguers. One that I remember was Reggie Jackson who’s forearms looked like Popeyes. Since moving to SF many years ago and my wife getting an MBA down on the Farm I’ve been a Cardinals fan. Hope that they do well this year 🤞. Harvey Special for me today!
