Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

He was an interesting guy . Never ate any part of a pine tree , but I almost did once while going under one on my lawn tractor . I would like to try some Pine Nuts though . If Squirrels like them , I might . What other parts do you suggest Sir ???

Harry
Pine nuts are great with pasta. In fact, I believe they are one of the ingredients in pesto, which is good with pasta.
The only other part I can think of is pine resin, which is in the Greek retsina wine. I have had people tell me it tastes like kerosene, but it pairs really well with Greek food.

I have his book, Stalking the Wild Asparagus. I don't remember if he mentions pine trees there.

Hope you're done now Pete :) That's a good-looking companion you have there :)

Nice to see Uncle K :) Those K'roo Lambs look great

LOL! :D You seem to have taken to that Sheldon Lambsfoot :) If you ever want to read more about their history, there's a thread here

I hope everyone is looking forward to the weekend, and that you find something enjoyable to do, even if it's just putting your feet up. It's set to be much cooler here tomorrow, down in the 50's, but currently, the rain isn't forecast to arrive until late afternoon. If that's still the same in the morning, I'm going to try to get out of the house early, and see if I can find an adventure ;) Think I'm going to carry my Charlie Lamb :) If I don't get a chance to say 'Good Morning' before I head out, have a great day Guardians, and enjoy carrying your Lambsfoot of choice :)

Jack, hope things warm up a little for you and the sun comes out. Here, in NC, it's going to be another hot one. Very pleasant right now at 8:00 AM. Wished it would stay this way all day. Have a great day my friend.

Good morning Guardians. Thought I would take my HHB out in the yard with me this morning to help do some trimming of some shrubs. The large palm excepted.😁

Pine nuts are delicious Harry, expensive here though
I can do that. Have fun, Jack.
Thanks Harvey :)

I can remember having spaghetti in Italy, just with garlic, pine-nuts, and good olive oil, and it was a real eye-opener. I used to use pine-nuts in pasta regularly, but they are not commonly available here, and they're expensive. Apart from in pesto, it's a while since I had them, so I should pick some up :) I'm with your friend on retsina Vince! 🤣 ;)
🤣
Always good to see OTW :)

Thanks Bill, the morning was nice enough, but it clouded over from lunchtime. No rain yet though, and now I'm back at home, I don't care too much! 😁 Yeah, you've got to get things done early when the eather is hot, there's a reason many hot countries have a middday siesta ;) That's a fantastic pic of your Hartshead Barlow Bill, I hope you have a great day
Some people drink pine needle tea.
You beat me to it Pete! 😁 I keep meaning to give it a try :)

Hope everyone is having a lovely day :) I went to the North Yorkshire towns of Harrogate and Knaresborough, while the sun was still shining ;) I haven't looked at my pics yet, but here's my Charlie Lamb in an iconic Knaresborough spot

Looks like a nice day. Nice view of your Charlie Lambfoot surroundings. Looking forward to your edited array of images from your day’s journey.👍🏻

Good Morning Guardians

Fine image. Need full report with pics after you experiment with the nuts.
Thanks Harvey, absolutely I will. 😊👍
If you happen to be in our area , stop by and I will give you some nuts saved from last year to try . I will even give you a demo on how to crack them to save larger larger pieces on the average .

Harry
Thanks for the invitation Harry, after the tasting and demo breakfast is on me!
😊👍
