Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Rather than making coffee at home, I decided to go for a walk, and get a coffee and croissant at 'Charlie's Cafe'. I'd have taken evidence, but I forgot to put the memory card in my camera! πŸ™„πŸ‘

Bill it’s good to hear your feeling better. I too struggled with a cough after Covid. My doctor changed my blood pressure medicine and it helped. If you take blood pressure meds, talk to your doctor. If the one you take is an ACE inhibitor it can contribute to the cough.

Pete
Thanks Pete. Good information.

Yorkshire Pudding it is then (very ambitious)! πŸ˜‰ Thank you my friend, you too πŸ‘

Thank you Bill, some anti-inflammatories gave me a couple of hours respite, and I will be having some more soon. I hope my back will be ok by Monday πŸ™‚ I hope you are bearing up yourself, but I'm sorry you still have a cough, on top of everything else πŸ˜• I hope your wife is fully recovered now πŸ‘
Thanks Jack. Slowly getting better but the cough is really the worst of it.

It's still raining here - they say "Drought!" in London, and we get days of rain up north!
We all know that London is another country all-together. 🀣

That's the King of all Lambsfoot knives. 🀠

My back continues to get better, I'm pleased to say, with only a small amount of pain and stiffness today.
I’m glad to hear this, Jack. Your Lambfoot is sublime. Hope you remember your memory card for capturing any of the festivities.
Intriguing image of your Lambfoot, John.

Good Morning Guardians

Nature puts on a mighty nice show.

Thank you very much Harvey :) I'm hoping I can FIND some festivities, I'm rather disappointed to see the lack of effort being put in by the Yorkshire burgers and tourist barons. THIS is the main Yorkshire tourist site - a lot of money goes there way. "We love Yorkshire", their site says. So much so, that they haven't even updated it from LAST YEAR! Anyone attending the events advertised is going to be sorely disappointed! Very little seems to have been organised this year, apart from a taxpayer-funded train-ride and breakfast for a few local bigwigs

Glad to see you have some beautiful weather there :) Great pic of that unusual Joseph Rodgers

Afternoon Guardians, all this talk of Chip Butty's has got me hungry
Ditto Steve.
Thank you Dwight, that's a fantastic photo
Thank you Jack. I'm glad your back is improving.
I hadn’t thought of tater tots, Good idea. Great image

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a great weekend :) I'm grateful to those of you celebrating Yorkshire Day with me, and I hope that you're having fun :) It's still raining here - they say "Drought!" in London, and we get days of rain up north! My back continues to get better, I'm pleased to say, with only a small amount of pain and stiffness today. I think I'm going to have an easy day, but I do need to catch up with a few things I've not been able to do earlier in the week. I have remembered to unfurl my Yorkshire flag, and run it up on the porch though ;) Thought I'd carry the Yorkshire Rose :) Have a great Sunday Guardians
That Yorkshire Rose is breathtaking Jack!
Beautiful image of mesmerizing wood lamb John.

Thank you Jack. How’s the old back holding up? What did you do to make up for the YD disappointment?
Ditto Steve.

Thank you kindly Dwight, I love the way you have matched the colours in that image, it makes for a spectacular shot πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Thanks for asking Harvey πŸ™‚ It"s better than it was, but still not right yet I'm afraid, and so rather painful to do a lot of things. It's very frustrating :(

My original plan, unless something spectacular was organised, was to go over to Sheffield, including a trip to see Stan Shaw's old workshop, and lunch at The Fat Cat pub, but with my back still store, and disruption to rail travel here, and with so little organised officially, I've had to make more modest plans. My mate is picking me up in the morning, with his lad, who is off school, and after stopping for coffee, we're going to visit Kirkstall Abbey, where I went with Merle, go for a walk, and then have lunch at another nice pub, and then see how it goes from there πŸ‘

Thank you very much :) You know what they say about 'The best laid plans of mice and men...'. Well, the mice will be able to get into Kirkstall Abbey, but it's closed to everyone else tomorrow! Typical! 😑 Just as well I checked! The new plan is that we're meeting at Charlie's Cafe for breakfast, then heading to the Royal Armouries museum, then hopefully a pub lunch! πŸ‘

Closed on the holiday. Of course. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
Would have been  Maybe I should go and break their windows! ;)

No, not because of the holiday, they've just decided, (at the start of the school holidays), they're going to start closing on Mondays  Could have been worse I guess, a few years ago, the Sheffield museums decided they were all going to close on Saturdays!:mad::thumbsdown:
Good old Plan C :thumbsup::thumbsup:
I just hope I don't have to move on to Pan D, or E! :D Honestly, if it wasn't for my mate's lad, I've got to the point where I'd just go to the pub, and stay there all day! :D
