Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, welcome to the weekend! ;) I hope our US members have a special one, and that some of you will post a little about it  Here in Yorkshire, there's rain forecast for both today and tomorrow - seems our summer didn't outlast my sciatica (which continues to get better thankfully)! I certainly have plenty of stuff to do in the house anyway, though maybe I can get out for some fresh air later. Whatever you're doing today, I hope that you have a good one, and that the workers get to put their feet up! ;)

Glad your back is improving Jack. Must be doing your head in. Hope your fully mobile shortly.
Thanks Leon, it'll be 8 weeks tomorrow, been awful, missed the whole summer :( Mind you, it's just as well I wasn't away on holiday, that would have been a dark place! Have a great weekend mate :)

Thank you, Harvey. :)
Beautiful John
Thank you, Jack. :)
Is that for your Charlie Lamb?
No... it's for another Guardian and it's custom fit to his knife (non-Lambsfoot).
It fits my Charlie Lamb pretty well, but it's about 1-1/2" too long for the knife.
my sciatica (which continues to get better thankfully)!
That's good news. I'm sorry it took you so long to recover this time.
Very cool picture, my friend... a lot of different textures and colors. 🤠

Ah, OK, I thought it looked a little longer than usual (which is why I thought it was for your Charlie Lamb) :) I'm sure they'll be very pleased with it :)

What a great photo. 😎👍
We were supposed to be sunny and 90, but our weather now sounds more like yours Jack. Light rain now and more rain on the way today and tomorrow with highs in the low to mid 70s. We had a “dock crawl” (think progressive dinner on the lake) planned for tomorrow, now it looks like it might get rained out. 🤪

Thank you kindly Todd :) Sorry to hear about the inconvenient weather. It was raining here this morning, and fairly cool, and was supposed to stay like that all day, but around midday, it brightened up. Still supposed to rain later, and tomorrow, but we'll see  I hope the forecast is wrong there too my friend
Starting with this one today. 😊View attachment 1919286
You did a great job of modding that one Todd  Nicely photographed :)

An A. Wright lambsfoot knife with Redwood covers....

fullsizeoutput_1502.jpeg

This is the Methuselah Redwood Tree located a couple of miles from where I lived and grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountain range. I have driven past it maybe a hundreds of times on my 35 mile daily commute to San Francisco on Skyline BLVD. The Methuselah is over a thousand of years old. It's over 200 feet tall and would make many knife covers! :) Much of the old growth redwood trees have been logged out but there remains thousands of redwood trees in this forest. A real treat living here.

I decided to get some fresh air, and go for something to eat in a Leeds suburb called Oakwood. This is 'Oakwood Clock', which was pinched from Leeds Market!

I had lunch at a Middle Eastern restaurant, and as the weather forecast was wrong, it was nice enough to sit outside :)

Don't think I'll be eating again today! :D
Looks delicious Jack, first thing my eyes went to…besides the HHB of course…was the bowl of olives. 😉👍
It's such a unique knife now, it deserves a name. 🤠
Thanks John, anyone have some ideas?

It sure was the first time. 😄 We’ll still do the “dock crawl” as long as there is no lightening or hard down pours. 👍
