It looks like your Barber is continuing a long standing tradition and helping preserve the past wether he knows it or not . Barbering is a dying trade in the States with cosmetology far surpassing us in numbers . But I guess if you live long enough you always outlive your purposeAfter 5 years of establishing a good relationship with the old gaffer, it was a shame. The new management quickly broke the guarantees they'd made to me, about reproducing my ideas and patterns, and I had no option but to sever ties with them. If not for that, I'd still be doing the non-profit SFOs for the Guardians.
Congratulations on your Charlie Lamb, it's a beauty. Interesting pic tooMy barber also collects old tools of the trade, as well as knives, his shop hasn't changed for decades. I'm just having breakfast in a cafe, but when I get back home I'll post a few pics

Last night we went to the St. Louis Art Show. Didn’t get any pictures of the art, some of the artists are funny about people taking pictures of their work. This was taken by the main stage where a band was playing (to the right and out of the frame). I was trying to show how many people were around the food and beer tents. We’ve been attending and meeting the same friends for years, so we know that the lines are much shorter for beer up the street where the art tents are. Seems most folks come for the party and not the art!The weather was great, the beer was cold, and I had a great cigar. Maybe I go for the party more than the art also.

Something about the lines on these lamb foot knives , they photograph so well! Add a little cool lighting and you get a great picture !! Pretty scales on this one !
