Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Been hobbling together some stones and strops for my new sharpener.

Jack,

I am normally a “live and let live” type of guy but I have been known to pen a letter or two for situations such as this. Serial misbehavior is generally the result from a lack of good management. You may consider sending a letter to the owner or if this is a chain pharmacy, corporate office. There is nothing like a politely written shaming to get the thing unstuck.
That is an established fact Pete. A well written letter can light a fire seen for miles. Twice I’ve penned letters to the BBB. The miscreants came begging with hat in hand.

I hope everyone is having a great day :) I had quite a busy one, with a lot of walking, and was out of the house 6 or 7 hours. After having lunch with my pal, I had to wait around for a couple of hours for my Covid jab, which I had booked a few days ago. When I got to the front of the queue, I was informed they "weren't equipped" to give them out at that branch, and by this time it was too late to book one elsewhere  I once worked in a pharmacy in war-torn Beirut, and there was considerably less chaos than in that place! 🤬

Cool pic Jack, sorry to hear you weren't able to get the covid Jab.

Breaks rule. So does your image, Todd.
Thanks Harvey. Have to admit though, you had me thinking what rule my post was breaking!🤣
Good Morning Guardians💂‍♀️
Very nice colors Harvey. 😎👍

Very frustrating Jack. 😡👎
Cool picture, nice to see it being put to use. 🤠
I don't think I've noticed before that your Lambsfoot doesn't appear to be a Swayback? Swell End?
I won’t mention what they called it where I bought it 😉…I’ll go with Candle-end.
😊👍
'Candle-end' :)
Learned a new term, thanks Jack. 😊👍
Cool photo Dwight, gorgeous knife. 😎👍

Good for you Dwight! In a time of email and text messages, a well hand written letter in cursive has become a novelty which holds its own power in and of itself. An art lost I fear.

I thought I was going to learn a subtle new distinction in knife frames, but instead I'm just reminded that "The United States and Great Britain are two countries separated by a common language" as Shaw put it.
Sorry Tyson! :D It's a bit like comparing a 'Swell Centre Jack' and a 'Coke Bottle Jack' I guess :D :)
Nice crop there Dwight, and a great pic :)

I think this is what I'm going to do Pete, it's part of Britain's biggest pharmacy group. I don't know what their attitude is towards incompetence, but 'bullying in the workplace' might be a different matter. There are in-store CCTV cameras, and I very much doubt there hasn't been a complaint about this individual's behaviour before. Since I've been a customer there, I've noticed a high level of staff turnover, with one exception - the bully 👎

Afternoon Guardians !

A miserable wet day here, we need the rain but all it did was drizzle all day :(

Sorry to hear about the weather Steve, but that's a great pic :)

Thanks buddy, I'm hoping I can book in next Saturday, but it's not a great day for me

LOL! :D That's what they call 'em at the factory. The first time I heard the term used there, I was quite surprised, even though I was familiar with it  By contrast, most of the UK dealers, if any, wouldn't know a 'candle-end' from a punch in the mouth! :D

Good for you Jack. You should not have to put up with this. No one should. I do not know the terminology used for this behavior in England but over here the buzz word for immediate action would be “hostile work environment “, just FYI. If that phrase is uttered, much less written, in a complaint (formal or not) in my workplace = automatic investigation.

I hope this is resolved quickly. Medicine is life essential and that point may assist as well. Good luck Jack. Hoping for quick resolution.

I’m on the cheap with a new Mortgage! 😂

Me too Pete! I had to drop down from Islay Scotch to Canadian blend Forty Creek. It's all Joe Biden's fault.

I carry a lambsfoot for many reasons. Not the least being it is and always has been the chosen cutlery of the "Mick". This is for you JohnDF JohnDF ! Oh ... and Mickey says ... "Hey!"BC0E0608-1DFF-4B60-8032-4064B8060AC0_1_201_a.jpeg4F99081F-7564-48FA-9D1F-3F8C17A312CA_1_201_a.jpeg

Pete, it’s very nice of you to set that bourbon free! And like I’ve said before seeing that lamb will never get old 😃.

Sitting here having some breakfast on Saturday morning. I have an above ground railway line running next to my new digs and heard a familiar whistle. 3 Steam Loco's went past hauling old carriages. Have taken a photo, but only with my phone so did not come out very well. If i knew it was coming would have walked across the road to the station to get some better shots.
