This just dropped out of my mailbox not 20-minutes ago - a very thoughtful gift from Dan sf fanatic . It's a very very nice Ebony Standard Lambfoot knife. Fit and finish are great and the ebony is superb. It arrived in a very nice box with a wool, Scottish Plaid insert. This will make a great addition to my Lambfoot collection a picture of which I will post later when I can photograph an update of my Lambfoot flock.

I got to go out on a Tall Ship cruise for a couple of hours.
The Hawaiian Chieftain came to Old Sacramento and offered cruises.
We sailed down the Delta and fired cannons, blanks of course... It was great fun.

What a pleasure that must have been.

My son and Daughter-in Law live in SF and love it, I had a nice visit in August a few years back and it was nice but pretty chilly. No flies though.

I had a girlfriend in the 70's whose American relatives, having seen TV reports of how nobody got enough to eat here, and were practically starving, would send them regular food parcels over. They kind of liked getting to try some different snack bars, candy, etc so they just said thanks, and had a laugh about it! It went on for years
