Killer B&W, John.

Good Morning Guardians💂‍♀️

A kind and generous Jeremy ( @sbh06 ) made three slips for me. Here’s one of them. Many thanks, Jeremy
I do so love this lamb Harvey. Fantastic image and that is a beautiful slip from Jeremy.
Greetings this Saturday from Santa Cruz. It’s been sprinkling on and off this morning but it’s off now so I took my cat out for a walk and took a big cup of coffee with us. And here’s a picture.

The scales on that lamb are absolutely gorgeous!
I have a very strong sense of smell, which is not always a blessing!
I have zero sense of smell Jack. The neurologist thinks its olfactory nerve damage from something I got into while firefighting. Unfortunately it hasn't slowed my appetite or dulled my sense of taste...😁

Some really awesome lambsfoot pics today.

It makes for a great photo Dave :) I remember Wilson very well from being a kid, in fact I watched him (unexpectedly) resign, live on TV. His later Baronry aside, he was a much more down to earth politician than the ones we have today. Holidays, for example, were an annual trip to the Scilly Islands, just off the British coast, where he liked to go walking and birdwatching, with his wife Mary. Now our prime ministers want to stay in the castle of a Russian Oligarch, or on a private island, of equally dubious ownership, every other week 🤨

Fantastic John, that'll be an adventure  Do many folks travel long-distance on the trains anymore? I've travelled all over Europe on them, but a day and a half is probably about the longest I think. One of the old fellers who visits the tool stall was a train driver on steam trains. He's a very down-to-earth guy. Years later, his best friend died, and willed him his house. Brian and his missus had their own house, so they sold it. They were in their 70's at the time, with no kids, so they decided to go right across Russia on the Trans-Orient Express! I was looking at this yesterday, but think I might be getting a bit long in the tooth :( Wish I'd thought of it a few years ago

Glad you're enjoying the pattern Sceva :) Because I subsidised them, the Hartshead Barlows were cheaper than the Senators sell at, I think :) A shame we don't see more of them

Thanks Harvey! :D

Thank you my friend, that's on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway not far from me. It often appears in movies. On Saturdays, they serve some nice local ales straight from the cask too ;)

Well done Jeremy :) Congratulations Harvey, that looks superb, as does your Lambsfoot :)

That's a looker Steve :) Congratulations to the happy couple, and have fun :)

Some nice stag there gents :)

Yes. Agreed. Things have unfortunately dramatically changed - not for the better in most instances. So running errands in town today I was thinking the term I used was incorrect writing, "UK PM", when it should have been "British PM" or "English PM" - correction needed...

Many years ago, when I living on the west of Sheffield, and rock-climbing crazy, I had a climbing partner, who was waiting to start a teaching job. So, for a whole winter, and the following spring, we went out climbing up to 3 days a week. The other climbers we knew, thought we were crazy, climbing in the cold, and snow and rain, and walking to the crag, instead of driving, but it made all the beer we drank afterwards taste so much better. Eager to get to the rockface as quickly as possible, we'd grab a couple of packs of Soreen from a corner-shop, and that would fuel us all day. I haven't had any in years, thought they'd made the 'loaves' bigger, but it's just deceptive packaging! :D Couldn't really taste it much unfortunately

I oughta have an Ebony Standard Lambfoot falling out of my mail box later this afternoon. USPS says it's out for delivery but they've lied to me before.
Hope it arrives Ed

Thank you kindly Dwight :)

That's terrible Dwight, something that can be easily damaged I think, but I'm glad it doesn't seem to have dulled your sense of taste. My grandfather lost much of his sense of taste in his 50's, and it never returned. I was a wine lecturer years ago, and while it can sometimes be a curse, I'd prefer to hang onto my sense of smell if I can!

Devolution has changed things somewhat, but UK PM is still OK I think, but then British PM is also used. The Scottish and Irish administrations have a First Minister, but can be overruled in respect of some things, as with Wales, so in other respects the PM is also the English PM! :D Hard to keep up! :D

LOL! :D I realised that this stuff isn't quite the same as the Soreen I used to take climbing, which was once very popular here. That was actually a malt loaf, and less sweet. It was generally served buttered, but when climbing, we'd just pull a loaf in half! :D It was only after I tasted it that I realised this banana variety is sweeter. Hard for me to know if it tastes better buttered or not at the moment! ;)
Fantastic pic Dwight  That's some life story isn't it?!

This just dropped out of my mailbox not 20-minutes ago - a very thoughtful gift from Dan sf fanatic sf fanatic . It's a very very nice Ebony Standard Lambfoot knife. Fit and finish are great and the ebony is superb. It arrived in a very nice box with a wool, Scottish Plaid insert. This will make a great addition to my Lambfoot collection a picture of which I will post later when I can photograph an update of my Lambfoot flock.

Nice looking knife! At first glance I thought that was a Stuart tartan, but I'm not sure what clan that is (I'm not much of an expert at tartan identification.) Fantastic gift, sf fanatic sf fanatic !
