Looks great no matter what. How now, Guardians! What do we think - cooking with grease yet? The lines on the paper depict the height of the blade at the ricasso and at the hoof:

This is about as much as I can grind without cutting into the nail nick. I could grind past the nick for a dramatic effect; and the blade would remain pinchable. But I would have to reshape the hoof to do so.
A beautiful Sunny image, John.wGood Morning Guardians

LOL!Thank you kind sir.
I was gonna ask you if you forgot to double his pay but I see where you said you paid him the regular double fare.
The difference between a good haircut and a bad haircut is about three weeks Jack. Just be patient.
Take it easy folks.View attachment 1970220

That looks good. I still think the blade could lose some fat, but I'd be reluctant to grind into the nail-nickHow now, Guardians! What do we think - cooking with grease yet? The lines on the paper depict the height of the blade at the ricasso and at the hoof:

Shambcliffe?Thought I'd pop in with my lambsfoot progress. Think I ended up more in the Sheambsfoot ball park. Stabilized Chestnut, you can see a couple of wee wormholes towards the back.

Looks great. For a lambsfoot, I think the back should be a straight line between the plunge(?) and the final descent to the point.
Speaking with little knowledge and no authority.
If I could make a knife that nice I wouldn't much care who thought what its shape should be named.
Shambcliffe?It looks good John

LOL!You have a good memory Dwight
Considerably better than Barber Brian I reckon!
I've been going to Brian over a decade, long enough to know that his customers generally don't tip at all, or if they do, it's no more than £1. He has guys turn up once a year, and expect a haircut and shave for a fiver, so considering I'm never in the chair for more than 2 or 3 minutes, and tip well, you'd think he might take a bit more care
Yes indeed, except, in this case, in 3 weeks, one side of my hair would still be considerably longer than the other! After letting Tool Man, and half of the other traders, see just how bad it was, I told Brian I'd come back for the other half of my haircut. Unfortunately, like a lot of my friends, including Tool Man, Brian has bad eyesight, but prefers vanity to wearing glasses. A few other folks reported similar experiences to my own
Really cool photo my friend, lovely colours, and your Lamb is a peach:thumbsup;

Good afternoon Guardians, Ray, our pal, who is on the next stall, is on holiday this week, so I went down to the market even earlier than usual, to keep Tool Man company, and help him out. It was raining very heavily when I left though, and did so until mid afternoon. Consequently, it was pretty quiet in the market, and the kids are off school this week for half-term, which always makes thing worse. I door-stepped Barber Brian, but I'll be finding another barber, or going back to clipping it myselfI treated Tool Man to his favourite cake, which is sold in the market as "School Slice", maybe because it went out of the back door of a school kitchen!
Despite the weather, we had a good day, and I hung on long enough to say Hello to Mrs Tool Man, when she arrived around 3.30pm. It's their wedding anniversary today, so they're going out for a pub meal this evening
Hope everyone else has had a good day

Thank you Jack.A nice example Harvey![]()

That's funny... Maybe he was only "mostly dead"Tool Man was very relieved to learn that the demise of one of his heroes was exaggerated![]()
It's a great-looking knife JohnThanks Gents, I appreciate the look and the kind words. I'll have some changes if I revisit the design. Would make for a good starter fixed blade for a youth I think.
Happy Anniversary!
Thank you Jack.
Shhhh...
Fantastic Lamb Steve
CoolTook this picture today to commemorate David Tennant's return as The Doctor... Guess he pulled a Jerry Lee Lewis.
