Sausage roll was pretty good Steve, I didn't even get the ketchup out - much to Lucy's disappointment!Sounds like your day is off to a good start Jack. That sausage roll sure looks tasty !![]()
Your pastries look delicious Jack. Very nice photo with the LF knife. I can feel for your hunter friend that was shooting pigeons. My brother and I used to be able to shoot doves in farm fields that were next to our back yard. No more, I'm afraid. It's gotten so bad for hunters because society has taken a dim view of hunting even when you eat what you harvest.Hope everyone is having a good dayMine has been pleasant so far. I got talking to a feller who was doing some work on the road where I live. He was telling me about being out shooting pigeons on some farmland recently, when the police turned up. Someone had reported him! The first copper had no more idea about the law than the informant, and became so aggressive that his colleague ordered him back to the car, before handling the situation more politely and tactfully (checking his gun license, and permission to shoot). Could have easily gone wrong though
After leaving the chap to his work, I called in at the doctors to chase up a prescription, and then walked down to Charlie's Cafe, where I bumped into an old friend
Primble - Ironwood trigger warning!

I had to go into town for a few things, and was crossing the road when I spotted a delivery van for one of my favourite local small bakeries. The driver was just about to drop off some freshly-baked pies and sausage rolls at a nearby shop, so I went in and got one of each, a sausage roll for now, and a chicken pie for later

How do you figure that out? Or do you google it? But still, how would somebody else figure it out.Good morning, Guardians.
Hard to believe it's almost November. Soon I'll be choosing a new calendar:
In 2023, you can reuse calendars from 1933, 1939, 1950, 1961, 1967, 1978, 1989, 1995, 2006 and 2017

Thanks Bob, they are considered to be pests here, in the same classification as rats, and farmers are happy to get rid of them. That's a shame, it seems that some of the same people who are appalled by hunting are happy to buy factory-farmed meat from supermarketsYour pastries look delicious Jack. That sounds like an industrious morning Bob, good for youGood morning Guardians. Hope you are having a fine Friday and preparing for an even better weekend where you are. I'm going out for a stroll in the neighborhood this morning and then a workout at our fitness center.
Back with my HHB today.

That looks cool Jer, I had a lighthouses calendar one yearHow do you figure that out? Or do you google it? But still, how would somebody else figure it out.
I need to have a calendar on the kitchen door since we always did at home. It was a big Currier and Ives calendar from the insurance agent.
I'm ready for the new year:

That is just cruel Jer, can't you just tell them that you are a long-time lurker?!Speaking of pastry, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, so I'll be chopping potatoes at church this afternoon for the United Methodist Women's pasty sale. And me having missed the time for ordering them.
