True story. He is back as the Doctor for a few episodes before they transition (regenerate) to the new one.
Rumor has it that Donna will be joining the Doctor as well, but I hope her head doesn't explode when she recognizes him.

I do hope they can bring her back. I found the way they ended her character's story terribly sad.
