Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I hate when that happens ☹️
Me too mate, I hate wasting food, and I do enjoy breakfast
Growing up in Detroit, our good friends to the south in Windsor, Ontario Canada, put gravy on their fries (chips). Not being a big fan of gravy in general, I never could buy into it. It's just wrong ;) :p
Did you ever try it Mike? :D I haven't bought them for a few weeks in the market, but when I do, I'll ask Tool Man if he wants some too. Often he says no, (because he's eaten his weight in sandwiches), but if I don't get gravy with mine, he complains! 😖 🤣
They also sometimes sprinkled vinegar and salt on their chips (fries) which I thought was a marvelous innovation View attachment 1985290
That is very traditional here, and about the only accompaniment when I was a kid
Have a great day buddy, nice pic there :)

Cool pic Steve, my dad didn't serve (Royal Artillery) until just after WW2, but I used to have photos of my grandfathers in uniform. Not anymore unfortunately. Three of my 4 great grandfathers were killed in WW1, and strangely, while searching for info on one of them, I came across a photo of my 4th great grandfather, who I didn't realise had been wounded. He had been a Colour Sargent (Sargent Major) in Africa, in the 19th century, and then re-enlisted during WW1. My father remembers him, as an older man, with a big handle-bar moustache, which apparently he sported for much of his adult life, but clean-shaven, he looks very much like one of my uncles.

Good luck with the doc Mike :)

Regarding Jack’s posts, I don’t put anything but salt on my fries (chips), but gravy, catsup, mayonnaise, tartar sauce and blue cheese dressing all make good “ dips.”👍

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone has made it through the week unscathed, and in good form :) 5.30am here, and I got out of bed with a craving for hot buttered toast, only to find that the loaf I paid £4 for on Tuesday is now unfit to eat 😠 I'm meeting up with a pal this morning for coffee, but that's not until 10.30am. Probably need a nap later ;) Have a good day everyone, it's nearly the weekend :)
My confidence level in you making up for the ”unfit loaf is high.😂 Have a fine day and a restful nap, Jack.

It's disturbingly warm here, for November, in fact we had the warmest UK November night time temperature ever last night. It isn't sunny though sadly. Still, it was nice enough to have a walk down the road to Charlie's cafe. Unfortunately, I was too early for a croissant, but I had a coffee. I then headed into town to meet my pal, and managed to get some tea and toast before he arrived. We had a coffee and a blather, before he headed back to work, and I went to buy some bread, and a few other things. By the time I'd bought my provisions, it was lunchtime, and as I was down near the market, I decided to treat myself to some chips ;)

After having a look round the market, I headed home. I'd purchased a vanilla slice in town, but since they had wrapped it in paper which wasn't waxed or greased, the icing on the top just ended up stuck to the paper  Just enjoying it with another cup of tea :) Chores to do now I'm afraid  Hope everyone else is having a good day

I just knew it. A wonderful array of goodies, well captured.
This one bush does not know it is almost winter here in the northeast.View attachment 1985206
