Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Well I'll be, ole Andy was almost a Yorkshireman :cool:

Yes, he must have been embittered by not being born a few miles to the south! :D ;) Hartlepool people are known as monkey-hangers - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkey_hanger

I'm not sure I've seen the Marty Feldman version of that classic sketch before. Quite funny watching a bunch of young toffs, particularly Cleese, trying to carry off a northern accent :D Michael Palin, who is not there of course, actually is a Yorkshireman, albeit a posh one! :D

Was Marty part of the Monty Python group in the beginning? Love John Cleese, in Faulty Towers. :D:D I'm sure I've watched all the episodes 10 times over.
IMG_0836.JPG Monkey-hangers oh my.:rolleyes::p

Doughnuts! I want doughnuts

LOL! I haven't had doughnuts in ages, and can't remember the last time I had them at home :D

I think that sketch is pre-Python. Yes, Fawlty Towers is an absolute classic :D I'm not sure Cleese has been in much funny since though. Excellent pic of your ebony '18 :)

This diet thing is a pain. :( My family Doc, sent me to the city for a heart stress test on Thursday. I don't think I did very well,
one of the young specialists had me on some monitor. He says, does your heart always beat so fast? I said only under stress ;)
Anyway, GT have two per day and live a little :p
Dave, I hope the stress test results come out OK. I appreciate the "live a little" philosophy, and although I joke about my diet, I actually pay pretty close attention to diet and exercise most of the time. Even here on vacation, I walk a couple of miles every morning before breakfast and I wear my "vintage FitBit" (pendulum pedometer ) all the time and shoot for at least 10000 steps per day.

LOL! Well you are on vacation GT ;) Perhaps you need to make one of these?!

That's quite an example of projectile weaponry, Jack!:cool:;)
Your ebony is pretty as a picture!:thumbsup::cool:

Lambsfoot with me last evening prowling Glasgow. No incidents to report.

The stag lambsfoot is looking better as its mileage increases, Dschal!:cool::thumbsup: Best wishes for continued fascinating, enjoyable, and safe travels! (I had a Scottish ale for lunch today. ;))

Shoot gummy bears with the slingshot.
That's an interesting (and, to my wife, tasty) twist on rubber bullets, Jer! ;):thumbsup:

Thanks, GT  It will take a couple of days for my Family Physician to get the results. I imagine there will have to be some lifestyle changes on the menu. 10000 steps is a good haul, when I was working at the airport I had a pedometer and was told by a dietician
to do 7000 a day even that took some work.

I recently had my annual checkup and as usual the Doctor ask about my favourite things and then told me to cut them out , but when i told him i was stepping out with a 25 year old girl ( i am 73 ) he told me i should worry about heart failure i replied " She is a lovely girl and i am very fond of her but if she dies she dies ". Boom Boom.

A mate of mine brought it back from the Christmas Market at Kelham Island Industrial Museum in Sheffield. I thought it was quite cleverly made (just 2 rubber bands), but I didn't really have a use for it! Gave it to another friend's little lad, so he can terrorise his dad! :D Thanks for the compliment my friend

Most of my lifestyle changes have been caused by the decrepitude of old age I'm afraid! I should get a step-counter, but I think I must run up a fair number, I don't have a car, and walk everywhere. I guess there are some days when I am at my desk a fair bit though

I hope everyone had a great weekend :) I'm starting the week off with my wee staggy :) Have a good week folks

Tasty! If a fellow wanted to purchase a stag the only option available is The Sheffield Shop.

I'm afraid that you can't get Sambar from there, but please refer to the forum guidelines in terms of vendors who are not supporting dealers here (this thread is not the place for buying questions)

As a general point, I'm not sure many dealers on this side of The Pond would even know what Sambar is, and beware of misleading photos, even the ones on the A.Wright & Son site have little in common with reality, neither the stag nor the ebony looks anything like that pictured, same for the horn :(
