Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Carried my Guardian today on my "Friday," to show my knife buddy at work. He was impressed!

My plan this weekend is to carry it with me on my annual "guys" trip! I'm sure there will be many pictures to follow.

Fantastic Taylor, looking forward to seeing your pics :)

I am kinda wondering if this will be the first time or maybe in a long time since someone has carried a lambsfoot knife in the town....

You might well be the first Taylor! The Lambsfoot is unusual as a pattern in that it didn't cross The Pond. There's much discussion about why that was the case early in this thread, but to summarise, our main theory was that, it only dates back to the late 19th century so far as we know, when US import tariffs meant that the Sheffield cutlers were looking to other overseas markets, such as Australia and New Zealand, where the Lambsfoot was popular

Oh okay, so I might be the first LOL.

Gonna be some good backdrops and some history as well. This is the 6th year doing the trip. My father is joining along with me and 8 of my good buddies.

Sounds like it's going to be a great time :)

Looking good!

I know how much you've enjoyed that natural micarta 43. You might have to get a stainless Navy Knife in natural micarta and have traumkommode traumkommode modify it into a lambsfoot for you. I love the one he did for me on a Navy Knife in old barn chestnut:

Joshua, finally I now know how/where you obtained this cool LF :D I was under the impression, that you had access to a maker
of said knife. And I was envious.....:p

Taylor, I feel, no one will get tired of an enthusiast of the Lambsfoot, even if its the same one over and over. :D
That's why we're here, to celebrate a really cool knife. Even if there was only one model ie ebony, we would still covet the knife. So, feel free to post away! :p

Heh. Well, now you know that you too have access to this mysterious maker! I bet you could talk Andrew (traum) into modding one for you. I'm still a bit of a cheater, since I don't have an authentic "across the pond" lambsfoot.

Well said Dave

Got another one on deck, gents ;) Not a commission, though. This one is mine...

Great stuff, looking forward to seeing it :)

Back to ebony for me today :)

I'm having to race my grapefruits. It looks like they were cheap because they were near the end of their shelf life.
I took a lot of bad grapefruit pics this morning before realizing I was set on "landscape" instead of "camera-shake".
Then I took some worse pictures without that excuse.

I have some blackberries to eat, not too many as they're not all ready on the bush yet, picked them yesterday when I was carrying my wee staggy. I might make a small crumble later :)
