Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

The temperature had dropped here, when I went out this morning, but it wasn't raining at least. I had some business to take care of, and then walked down to Charlie's cafe, where I found myself simultaneously speaking English, Arabic, and Italian (the dozen words I know of it), at one point :D

After polishing off a coffee, and a blackcurrant croissant, I went into town, where I needed to go to the bank, and had some other errands to run. I passed through the market, and bought some bread, noticing that the city centre's worst pub had put their Christmas decorations up early! They usually make a special effort at this time of year :D

I did some shopping, and managed to pick up one of the delicious chicken, bacon, and mushroom pies I had a couple of weeks back :) By the lunchtime, the temperature had risen to the high 30's, but then the heaven's opened! I'm just drying out with a mug of hot soup :)

Is there a story to the police tape ?

Oh man there are some great shots of some Great Knives being posted!

I actually took a picture!!!! although nothing too arty or showing any stunning background I am so sorry everyone 🙁

My carry of late - my awesome AC - LOVE that little guy to bits!!!

As well as my latest Vintage Sheffield Lambsfoot - not the long slender version by any means- the Knife has had next to no use but has not been stored all that fussily and has been exposed to its surroundings over the years, Features the classic Sheffield Jig work - I saw this and thought I better grab it! As you can see I will need to clean the Jigged Bone- that will be nice and easy!
H. Deakin Sheffield, I found a Deakin in Sheffield ( James Deakin ), but not with the initial of H.

A wonderful grab, Duncan. Looking forward to seeing it after you spa treat it. Your AC is cool, too.😎

Very nice image, Bob. Hope the shot does the trick.
Found this one locally yesterday
Not a Lambfoot, but can’t deny it’s a sweet find.

I'm sure there will be Steve, hopefully nothing too serious! I once posted another photo of that pub, taken on Xmas Eve, it showed a handwritten sign, placed in one of the pub's windows, which read "Shoplifters will no longer be tolerated." The window had been smashed! :D I recall being near it, one summer night, nearly 20 years ago, and a group of people exited. There were several adults, arguing, and a bunch of young children. The argument escalated, and two people picked up pushchairs, and were fighting with them, in the middle of the street!

I have only been in once, briefly, under sufferance, with Tool Man and his pals, re-living their misspent youth. What a place! o_O Soon after we arrived, the stout barmaid came from behind the bar, and ordered two junkies, who were apparently already barred, to leave. They went outside, but then one of them, a woman, came back in, and just started helping herself to drinks on the tables, until the barmaid returned, and physically threw her out. We were only in there about 10 minutes, but it appeared that was just an everyday occurrence  Leeds has some really rotten pubs! 🤨

Thank you Harvey :)
Good Morning Guardians💂‍♀️
What a fantastic image of your Metal Monday Rodgers my friend :)

Morning Guardians. Pondering and piddling is the only thing on the agenda today. Since I've been in a Sheffield Cutlery mode lately I decided I need to get a copy of Tweedales Directory of Sheffields Cutlery Manufacturers 1740-2013: Revised and Expanded 2nd Edition. Got a copy orderd this morning. 19 will be holding down the Fort today. 😁

I think I dropped this quote earlier! Sorry David 😟 An excellent investment my friend, I think the Lulu edition is an absolute bargain. At the start of the year, Geoff told me he was working on a 3rd edition. '19 is looking good 🙂👍
