Sounds like a busy day. Hope it all goes smoothly... knock on wood.Good afternoon Guardians, I started writing this short post in the dentists, but then I got called in. I had to go to town, and now I'm waiting for a sandwich in Charlie's cafe, but I have to go back to the dentist later.
Thanks Jack!Sounds fantastic Pete, I hope you have a great time togetherBlood Lamb is looking swell

Airmail? That sounds amazing... save me some.![]()
Yeah, I walked to the dentists this morning (about 1 1/2 miles), via the post office, where I had a parcel to collect, then walked into town, to meet my pal Wolfie for a coffee, then I went to the bank, visited the central post office, and did some shopping, before returning home to Charlie's cafe. I had a nice sourdough loaf for the owner, but he wasn't there unfortunately, so I left it, and will try to call in later, on my way back from my second visit to the dentist. I need a back tooth scanning for a new crown, but there was a software problem, necessitating a second visit. The dentist reckoned that the crown I stuck back in myself would probably be fine. I couldn't stick the other one in because it was a back tooth. They're going to make a new one. Maybe I could have a second careerSounds like a busy day. Hope it all goes smoothly... knock on wood.![]()
Hi Luke,Dear forum community,
a Sheffield company called Eggington produces some really nice Barlow knives with lamb foot blade. I'm very much tempted. Does anybody know (Jack Black surely?) if they are made in Sheffield or bought in? Answers much appreciated. With best wishes for a good year 2023!

Thanks!Hi Luke,
Eggington bought up the names of several old Sheffield cutlery firms in the 1980's, including Joseph Rodgers and George Wostenholm (IXL). The knives they sell are made in Sheffield, though they are bought in. All the knives they sell have stainless blades. If you're tempted, I hope you can find a nice example. A few Guardians have them
Happy New Year
Jack
Works for me.Airmail?
And what does that say about the prices they charge to do it for you?The dentist reckoned that the crown I stuck back in myself would probably be fine
Nooooooo.... You jinxed us.Happy Friday the 13th!
That's just what I thought John, I paid around $7 for 2 small tubs of dental cement - enough to repair a couple of dozen crowns, and it took less than 2 minutesAnd what does that say about the prices they charge to do it for you?![]()
LOL!Good Morning Guardians
I'm waiting for some workers to show up to refurbish our kitchen cabinets.
I just hope they show up on time so I can get to work on time... If my name was Jack, I'd be more worried about it.
