That sort of thing was very common at one time wasn't it? I had a friend at skool called John Mackewycz. At the start of each year, or every time we had a new teacher, and they took register, he'd sit there, not saying anything, while they made numerous mangled attempts to pronounce his surname. Eventually they'd give up, and he still wouldn't say anything, and they'd have to go back to him, and ask what his name was. Happened right through skool!
Hope he's soon over it my friendCool pic of your IXL

Sorry to hear about your son, Paul. Hopefully he feels better soon (but not TOO soon, for his sake).
Thank you all for the well wishes for my son. Rest assure that he is living like a King with my wife and his grandma tending to his every need. I would be surprised If I get home and don't see him ringing a butler's bell.Your discipline is as admirable as your photography. Congratulations.
Your Barlow is getting an excellent workout, Jack. Have a good time with Tool Man at the stall. Remember…”You can bring a horse to water, but,“ etc.
Ooh, that’s a nice un, Pete.
Wishing your Son a quick recovery. Respect to all who serve or have served.
Having a much needed cup of coffee this morning. Just got a call from the wife. My 6 year old has strep throat and an ear infection. I called him to see how he was doing and his response was "When do I have to go back to school."![]()

Thanks, Jack. It’s the cover of a book called Glorious Britain, featuring photos from the Francis Frith collection. If you’re not familiar with Mr. Firth, it seems that he set out in 1860 “to photograph every city, town, and village in Britain.” The work continued after his death, and by 1970 the archive contained over a third of a million photos showing 7000 British towns and villages. Photos in the book are mostly from 1860 to the 1930's. Great stuff!Really nice pic![]()
