Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Having a much needed cup of coffee this morning. Just got a call from the wife. My 6 year old has strep throat and an ear infection. I called him to see how he was doing and his response was "When do I have to go back to school." 😆 🤣 😂

Happy to report that it is over 0 degrees this morning.

Thank you Jack for the well wishes and thinking of us ! :)

Tempting 😋 as they are I'll have to pass on the pies though😁
I've managed to lose a significant amount of weight.
It began by adopting a healthier diet and then engaging in regular walks aided by my faithful companion, my ebony lamb. Sharing the pics here helped with motivation and aided in making regular walks a habit.

Then came Covid and I went crazy about sourdough LOL . My progress was stopped.

Last year around this time I reengaged as I had started to gain back some of the weight that I had lost.
I have since lost another 65 pounds.
No more sourdough for me :) ... I still bake it regularly for the ladies of the home.
For the past year I have followed what they call Mediterranean Keto diet.

Here are two good old friends :)

edit: "Chippy" there is not being a good example ... both cheeks stuffed and about to burst :D
Awesome pictures there. I have no cute animal skills. They would probably bite my fingers off and keep it as a trophy.
Hard to beat soup! :) Great to see you enjoying your '19 David :)

Thank you Todd :)

Thanks David, it's unusual to see so many swans together in my experience. My mate's missus swims in the larger lake almost every day of the year, doesn't even wear a wet-suit!

That is an incredible achievement Dan, well done :) I'm glad that you are still baking your gorgeous-loooking sourdough for the ladies :) It's great to see Chippy and your ebony Lambsfoot again, I love your pics :)-

Is it like Flamenco! 🤷‍♂️:D;)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is doing OK, nearly halfway through another week. It started out wet and dreary here, but is brightening up a little bit. I'm hanging onto my Hartshead Barlow :) Have a good day Guardians

Glad the sun is out Jack. Like always the knife is wonderful.
Going to carry this one in bog wood and brass today. View attachment 2066553
The brass looks great in contrast to the dark wood. Very nice!
Sunlight!

Nothing kike a little sunshine to brighten the day. The sun is out today as well here in Wisconsin. Still cold but at least through the window it looks warmer 😆 🤣.
This lamb will keep me company today.
Had golf planned but woke up to dusting of snow!View attachment 2066617
Hope you can get back out on the links asap.

Thanks...my body can use the rest.
Hope your son feels better soon.

Thank you Vince :)

Gracias Dwight ! :)

Thanks Steve

Gracias amigo ! :)

Hi Leon :)

It is a very low carb diet that my doctor put me on with emphasis on healthy fats and proteins common to the mediterranean area of the world.
I consume about 55% to 65% of my calories from healthy fats ( avocado, olive oil, nuts, etc ), 25 to 35 % protein from fish ( salmon, trout, sardines) lean poultry, eggs etc and very low carbs at about 10 % .
Sugars and anything processed or refined is out.
The doctor has now taken me off the Metformin, lipitor and blood pressure meds as my blood sugars, cholesterol, blood pressure and blood work are all normal now.

That's a very healthy-looking photo Dan, it sounds like you are in really great shape buddy :) Well done
Love the lamb Dan.
You may be an inspiration for me...blood pressure has changed lately.
Bob
Sorry to hear that Bob, I hope it's not my tales of Tool Man! ;)

Cool pic Bob  Sorry to hear you're missing your game
Yes sir. Figured y’all may be sick and tired of my everyday lamb. 😂
Never! 🤣
Thanks. Yes. It belonged to a friend of my father's family, called Harry Baer (probable spelling). He changed his name from something like Baerentz because he was tired of having to spell it.
That sort of thing was very common at one time wasn't it? I had a friend at skool called John Mackewycz. At the start of each year, or every time we had a new teacher, and they took register, he'd sit there, not saying anything, while they made numerous mangled attempts to pronounce his surname. Eventually they'd give up, and he still wouldn't say anything, and they'd have to go back to him, and ask what his name was. Happened right through skool! :D

That's a photo from yesterday I'm afraid, been a very dull day here. Thank you for the kind words :)

I'm okay without eating cake, I don't really like cake that much... just as long as you find something delicious to cut with your Big Un at the Market. 🤠
Hope so mate :) There are so few stalls left, I might have to start going outside the market! ;) I'm hoping the weather brightens up a bit for tomorrow

There is no one to blame but myself Jack.😀 Will just be more conscious of diet. My bike will be back in the woods soon enough to help set things straight.
Hope tool man will take his health seriously.

Easily done Bob  I hope you can get it back under control, and cycling in the woods sounds like a nice way :) I have just been speaking to Tool Man about his health, and I did raise the point that if he doesn't stop eating his weight in Lard, it's only going to be a matter of time before I put my back out trying to get the fat lump up off the floor! ;)

Sorry to hear about your son, Paul. Hopefully he feels better soon (but not TOO soon, for his sake 🤣).

Wombat Poop Refresher - For the last four years, I've posted this article on "The Scoop on Wombat Poop" every February so, here it is again as a refresher for you veteran Guardians and especially for you newer Guardians who have come to this thread since last February. Enjoy.

Nice old lamb Ed. I am now certified in Wombat poop detection.

Your discipline is as admirable as your photography. Congratulations.

Your Barlow is getting an excellent workout, Jack. Have a good time with Tool Man at the stall. Remember…”You can bring a horse to water, but,“ etc.😂
