Wow, lucky findNot going to lie. I spent an hour scouring for the shuttle lamb. Happy to report that it was a success! On its way!
I must have noticed the different one Yesterday or very recently.I've only changed it once!
I’m sorry to hear of all the suffering. Glad to hear you and yours are safe, Duncan. Wishing you all relief. Its been a hang of a time, New Zealand has been hit extremely hard with bad weather- torrential rains that have caused hundreds of millions in flooding damage, then a week later Cyclone Gabrielle decided to visit, and she was not in a good mood.
In my region, Napier / Hawkes bay also very close neighbours Wairoa and Gisborne were absolutely smashed. we went without Power for a week, No communications from cell phones at all, everything was closed and it was a ghost town - like something out of a movie!
People lost their lives - children were lost - houses destroyed then all the animals , horses and farm animals lost in the most horrible manner - wow, Sue and I are the very lucky ones - going back in time and standing over a basin having cold washes, my daughter borrowed all of our camp gear so we didn't have any of our gas cookers at all apart from the little wee one you use to make a cuppa on during a Hike- so that little champion cooked all our dinners etc.
The behaviour of some people during times like this is unbelievable, in saying that though you also saw the good in some people as well, at Traffic lights lights- the communication and friendly waves and giving way was great to see, but there is always the element where somehow the worst people dwell a little lower and burgle evacuated Houses and businesses.
People queueing for miles to get into the one supermarket, then a few days later one gas station opened- wow!! we just kept away from all of the dynamics going on there!!
So with things coming back to normal ( apart form those poor poor families who suffered loss of loved ones ) I am carrying my friend right here.....

Gotta figure out how to use "Sod their crockery!" at work, but I think I'd just get blank stares. They think I'm crazy, anyway.
Was in a trial once where one of my witnesses had over a thousand knives. Came out in cross-examination. During closing argument, opposing counsel referred to this witness as "the man of a thousand knives!", as if that were a bad thing! I laughed to myself. We still won.
Thank you Duncan.WOW!!!
Beautiful knife Harvey![]()

Thank you. I think it will go to my son as long as the pull is not too tough.I saw that one go. Congrats.
I do that all the time mate, I'll be in a cafe or bar, and say "How long have you had that photo/painting up on the wall?" And they'll say, "All the 10 years you've been coming in here!"I must have noticed the different one Yesterday or very recently.
Thanks for trying Harvey
I'm appalled that this hasn't been in the news here Duncan, but then even the Turkish/Syrian earthquake was only mentioned for a few days, before making way for some rubbish to prattle about. I am sure you have heard of Survivor's Syndrome/Survivor's Guilt, it's a common, and natural, reaction when empathetic folks witness the suffering of others, but escape relatively unscathed. It must have been traumatic to see your new home devastated in this way, and to the extent it was. It sounds you're going to be reminded of it for a while too, as things may take time to get back to normal. You take care buddyThank you for all your kind words Folks, very much appreciated, please don't get me wrong- I am certainly not playing the sympathy card, in fact the opposite to be honest where I feel almost like a cheat as we are so so much luckier than so many others! I just drove from Hastings to Napier today on the only road to and from there for now.
Oh boy!! only in Christchurch after the massive Earthquakes did I see red spray painted circles on the outside of Houses to mark the Houses as either cleared / checked etc - I did hear the other day that the damage and carnage is way way worse than the Christchurch earthquakes from this Cyclone.
All the Houses along this one long road were devastated, along with huge Bulldozered piles of carnage into massive piles roadside to ensure makeshift thoroughfare.
also all along the Roads were cars strewn among trees and bushes and against each other - all were under water - wow, and here is Sue and I who escaped very well off with having suffered no harm, I cherish be one of the lucky ones- yet feel guilty, I guess this is a normal reaction of those who care.
Have a great day folks, and thank you.![]()

I might just give up Lent!
The pull is reasonable on mineThank you. I think it will go to my son as long as the pull is not too tough.
Harvey, that is one of the richest coats I have ever seen. A real work of art.
