Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I probably left it in the oven a bit long, but my pie came out looking good. To me, the pastry smells the same as the regular Pukka pie pastry. Visually this pie also looks much the same as the meat pie it's imitating. I think there's a bit more pepper, but I have to say, I don't think, even Tool Man, could tell this wasn't a meat pie if he was blindfolded. Pretty good :)

Here is Senator Rose again.

Thanks buddy, this was the original sample for the 2019 run, which the Butter-Fingered Oaf did his best to ruin 😠 Wright's refurbished it for me, but it took them 6 months (top below). In the meantime, I had bonded with Miss Lucy (second below), so it was a while before I carried this one again

I ordered two of these from a young fella down under, the other is on it's way to my pal David. It was a tough choice between the two and in the end a coin toss decided which I kept.
Fit and finish is pretty good with a nice medium pull. I wasn't thrilled with the generic Sheffield tang stamp but it's growing on me. I'll probably add a swedge like I have on all my others.

Pretty pleased with it !
Captured beautifully Steve

Hope everyone is having a great day. Have the normal workday and then going to the parents to help them with a fallen tree later. Mom has another pot of kimchi soup going. Moving this close to my parents has proven to be most rewarding. Nice to be able to get into a car and visit with them in 20 min instead of the plane ride and 2 1/2 hour drive. When my kids get here, my folks are going to have their hands full 😂. Got my leave approved from work to go to the Badger Knife show later this month. Really looking forward to meeting a bunch of people from the porch and especially this Guardians thread. Have my numero uno stag lamb today.

Wowee! A Beauty!

That looks great Mike, great weather too! Thanks for the link :) There are quite a few of them here, Tool Man attends about a dozen over the summer. He reckons the Whitby one is the best in Yorkshire though :) Here's a pic of him from a previous fair he was standing at, which was very close by for me :)

I could imagine Tool man was a bit of a Lad in his younger days :)

Awesome photos. I think the wood HHB is so cool. Have a good one Harvey
You too, Paul. Thank you.
Two great photos Harvey. I.pressive wood coat on your lamb.
Thank you Bob.
Tool Man has to go to be probed at the hospital tomorrow afternoon, so is bringing down a reduced version of his stall, so that he can pack it away quickly, and go off to the hospital. I think I'll end up taking him, to say he's from Leeds, and has lived here all his life, he gets lost easily, and has no idea how to even find his way around the city centre 😖 I'm hoping I can get home early for a nap, as I'm going to the cinema later in the evening, to see a movie about an out of control bear ;) :D It's been raining here today, and it looks like we are for more tomorrow unfortunately :( I forgot to turn my calendar over this morning, but have done it now :) I'll be taking Big Rose tomorrow, and hoping to find an Eccles cake for her to bisect ;)

It sure looks perfect.

your knives are truly unique and captured with so well
Thank you Bob.
Carpe Diem Bob! :D That was the original Guardian's motto, I think @5K Qs came up with the full Latin phrase, but we never had the blazer badges made :D ;)

I've heard a few funny things about Grapefruit Jer, can't actually remember the last time I had grapefruit. It was a bit trendy here in the early 70's, if you stayed in a hotel, you might get half a grapefruit, with a halved glace cherry in the centre, to start your breakfast! Very sophisticated :D ;)

That's nice Pete :)

Tool Man takes his stall to a steam fair at Whitby, on the North Yorkshire coast, each year, in August, and I have just booked 4 nights in a hotel there, so we can hang out. Whitby is one of my favourite seaside spots here
