Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I hope everyone had a great day today. I was off and decided to hop in the car and drive. Just went exploring my new surroundings. Every little town here has a gun shop on Main Street and a resturaunt called whatever the town's name is followed by family resturaunt. Today I ate at Sparta Family Resturaunt. It was really good. Cinnamon french toast sliders, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy. I left there a couple pounds heavier 😂 . Finally found an antique shop that had old pocket knives but the guy that owned all the stuff wasn't there to unlock the cabinet. Such is my luck but at least I found some. Had the stag lamb with me today. It is very hard not to carry this everyday. Such a great knife.

Knowledge is wealth.
This photo is my favorite of the week. Great capture Harvey
Many thanks Pete.
Willem decided to redo my custom. A bit different than what I showed earlier but has the shield and file work I originally ordered. Missing the fullered bolster but honestly, I’m thrilled. Hope to get this in the next two weeks if all goes well. I think the color on this one came out even better than the other one. This is a 4 inch model which will be a nice compliment to my Sheffield which I think is 3.5 or so

That‘s a hearty fast breaker with an extra side of Lambfoot.

Thanks Barrett :) The movie was predictably daft, amusing throughout, but I don't think there were any real 'belly laugh' moments. A decent cast, but most of the budget probably went on CGI! :D Gives me something to post in the Traditional Knives in Movies thread anyway :D
Sometimes it good to just watch a decent easy going movie. My brother thinks every movie needs to be intellectual and a masterpiece.
Good morning Guardians, great to see the community spirit in this thread :)

It made a nice change to go and see a movie midweek. We went to a cinema slightly out of town, really smart place, with great reclining seats, and empty! :D  Movie was OK, but you won't miss much waiting to watch it online/TV/DVD. Coming back was a little surreal, they built a major road over there, getting on for a year ago now, dead handy for getting to the cinema, but strangely, it's still not showing up on Satnavs or Google Earth, let alone maps. Normally, even at 11.30pm, you'd expect a big 4-lane highway to have a certain amount of traffic, but there was virtually none. Be a great place to film a post-apocalypse movie! :D

I haven't had much time to go shopping for groceries this week, and also noticed I was running low on beer, so thought I'd order a grocery delivery from one of the big supermarkets here. Booked it for 5.30pm this evening, and received a couple of texts and emails confirming that, even had the name of the guy bringing it, and details of the vehicle. Guess what happened at 5.30AM...my doorbell rang??!!! 😖

By the time I'd put everything away, I figured I might as well get up, and have my morning toast 😒 I hope everyone has made it through the week OK, and that you have an easy Friday. Thought I'd stick with my ebony Charlie lamb :) Have a good one Guardians

Running low on beer is never good. Glad you got that sorted. 5:30am!!!!!! That bread just looks devine.
Hope you have a great weekend too Jack. Charlie Lamb is a fine knife and that bread that you are cutting for toast looks yummy!

Good morning Guardians. Rain scheduled for today but none yet. We need it.

Hope the forcast holds up then. Wonderful HHB bill
I got one, too.

Put it down next to a Schrade land shark and there's a resemblance.
SHUTTLE LAMB!!!!!!
Cool Jer, congratulations  I think there was also a connection to the Lambsfoot knives, produced in Japan, in the early 70's (below). It was interesting to see one of the original Landshark designs, and compare it to the more recent ones. One of the fascinating things about the Space Shuttle knives, in my opinion, is that, at the time, few of those buying the knife would have known that they were buying a Lambsfoot

Very Interesting Jack. Thank you
Had to stop using my cowboy emoji, it posts really tiny now for some reason.
Hope all the Guardians have a good Friday and their weekends get off tao a great start.

Beauty today John. Cowboy thing needs to get fixed. It won't feel the same!!!
Happy Friday Guardians! I took this for the recently discovered dogs thread but the lamb was in my pocket/pic and well... shepherds watch over the lambs so hey!

Looks like a great meal. Hope your had a good time on your adventure today. Stag lamb looking great as usual, though our carry choice next week might be a little more difficult. 😉

It was and thank you Jeremy. You got that right my friend 🤣 😂.

Very impressive Gus, I bet you can't wait to get it in your hands
Thanks, it’s been a bit frustrating with the order, the person I worked with originally didn’t get anything other than the color right from my request. This one, I think the color and the shield but the file work and lack of fullered bolsters was wrong. Regardlesss, I am 100% thrilled with the result and figure the “artist” knows best at this point. I’ll post some pics once received. I have really enjoyed learning about knife stuff from this forum. For the most part it’s been a great experience. The people I’ve gotten to meet here have been fantastic. Always some exceptions of course but for the most part 👍. This forum especially has been incredible source of knowledge and enjoyment for me. The wine and cheese regulars are a bit toxic being my point.
Sorry to hear it's been a bumpy road. Hopefully, it's going to go well from here on in :) It's good to have you here

Sounds great Paul, I hope you can get back to that antique shop soon :) What a tasty-looking meal! 😋 Your Lamb looks great too :)

I'm right there with you on that buddy, it's got to the point where when I see the word "masterpiece" attached to a movie, I get suspicious. I bought a DVD before Christmas, never heard of the movie, but it was absolutely plastered in praise and hyperbole. Turned out to be a depressing, 3-hour, black and white movie, in Russian, about who knows what! I gave up after 20 minutes! I gave it to my 'film buff' friend, and he has tried watching it 4 times, without making it to the end yet! :D
Running low on beer is never good. Glad you got that sorted. 5:30am!!!!!! That bread just looks devine.
Thanks mate :) Yeah, crazy, I was falling asleep the rest of the day! o_O

Coffee helped Paul! 😴😁
Nice find Gus  If you show your #88 in this thread, in future, would you mind leaving the Clip blade closed please? :)

Thanks Paul.

We have a contractor coming out this morning to start laying a bunch of pavers down for the grill area. The greenish powder on the grill cover is pine pollen. This tree pollen coats everything and everywhere. Spring time is definitely here! Takes about a month before it subsides. This past Thursday when I was golfing you could see the tree pollen rolling in like a fog rolling in on San Francisco. The cars are all coated with this crap and of course you end up dragging it into the house. What makes matters even worse is that I have an allergy to it.😫 Have my HHB in the pocket again.

HHB is looking well loved! Sorry to hear you are allergic to the tree pollen. That stuff coats absolutely everything in SE Texas too (pine and oak primarily where I'm at, with cedar/juniper mixed it for good measure if the wind is right). Hope it doesn't bother you too much!

Have a great weekend, Guardians!

I hope everyone has a great weekend. Those that were affected by weather, may your recovery be a speedy one.View attachment 2103353
Looking good Bob 👍
I have a little shovelling to do. We'll see if it's slush or ice underneath. I'll try my new shovel that I got on season's over sale.

My snow: it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Thanks Paul.
