Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

A very classy looking Lamb.
Thanks John. Yours is great as well my friend.
I nipped out to the post office with a couple of Guardians-bound parcels, and before I got to the bottom of the street, it was raining hard. Thankfully just a 20 minute shower. After the post office, I decided to have a coffee in the swanky cafe next door, while the rain stopped. I had to sit outside, but at least I am undercover, and the sun is out again now. I asked the guy behind the counter if they had any cake, and he said, "We have these." He never mentioned it was rhubarb crumble! 😖 Fortunately, it's so sweet you can't taste the rhubarb, which must be frustrating for fans of the Devil's Stalk! 🙄 However, my loathing of rhubarb extends way beyond mere taste!! 🤨😉
I despise rhubarb as well Jack. Absolutely hate it. Outside of the rain, I hope your day is going smoothly. Lovely lamb as always. Take care my friend.
You miss half a day around here and there is five or six pages to catch up on.
Wishing my friend Todd bigfish64 bigfish64 a speedy recover from his toothache... hang in there buddy.
Enjoying some Summer Sausage yesterday with the help of my Usual Lamb... Meant to post it yesterday but got very busy.
bigfish64 bigfish64 I hope you get better real soon buddy. Missing the ebony lamb pics.

Had an amazing night last night. Penn State really took it to Texas A&M last night with a dominating win in the NCAA tournament. Today will consist of work and more basketball when I get home. Feels like a pizza and beer kind of day. After thinking about the crap I put into my body I have made the decision to cut the Red Bulls and other sugary drinks out of my diet. Of course I had this one in the fridge and had to drink it 🤣 . Got the Rosewood lamb in the pocket today. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Congratulations Paul, hope you enjoy your pizza and beer :) We all have our vices, but I think Red Bull must be an acquired taste! :D Good for you buddy :) Ten years ago, I used to notice there were a lot of people drinking caffeinated drinks on their way to work, but I don't see that so much now. I don't know if the school kids are still drinking them, but I always hated to see that  Handsome Lambsfoot pic

I picked it up in the Army where soldiers drink those things like crazy. My wife is really health conscious and won't let my kids put that kind of poison in their bodies.

I have enough vices. Tobacco, beer, bourbon, food, knives, and firearms. I think I can give up one. Who knows, maybe it will trickle down to others.

It always makes me think of the school dinner queue in the 1960's. School dinners had a terrible reputation here at the time, but they were better than my mother's cooking! :D We'd be lining up, in our short-trousers, ("Single-file, next to the wall!"). and expectantly looking towards the large serving hatch to try and see what was going to be served. The aluminium shutters would be raised with a clatter, and the smell of steam, and washing-up liquid would sally forth, the aromas already having been cooked out of the forthcoming repast, about to be ladled out by stout aproned ladies, wearing hats and hairnets. The line would inch forward, still hugging the wall, and somebody would say, "Hey, it's apple crumble!" This would be excitedly carried back down the line, like a Mexican wave. Then the first child would get served, and go, "Urrgghh! It's RHUBARB!!!" Which would trigger the sort of collective moan of despair only something like the cancellation of Christmas might trigger. Thanks Rhubarb, you trampled on all those young dreams! 😩

I have never forgiven the malevolent Siberian succubus that sucked the joy out of so many school days, but to make matters worse, I now live close to Yorkshire's Rhubarb Triangle, where 90% of the world's forced rhubarb was once produced (the figure is that high, because the rest of the world has more sense than to plant the invasive crop) Even today, they reckon that the Hell-spawned stuff grows in such abundance, and with such ferocity, that it can be heard forcing it's way out of the ground at night, undoubtedly terrifying new generations of youngsters, and causing them have to seek rhubarb-counselling in later years 😠 Just say NO to rhubarb! Don't encourage its growth!

Thanks buddy, I'm just listening to the Dubliners, and wishing I had a fridge full of Guinness! :D ;)

Yeah, I bet they do mate! Soldiers have taken worse things before now  It might take you a few weeks to get rid of the side-effects of caffeine withdrawal

Next year, for Lent, I might give up rhubarb! :D ;)

I think the only thing listed there that might be a vice is tobacco, at least in cigarette form. All them other things is good for you (in moderation, of course)!

Good morning guardians, I hope everyone has a wonderful St Patricks Day. I grabbed this pick yesterday while we were out running errands. View attachment 2119229

Well, it's snowing now and headed for freezing early this afternoon. Two to five inches predicted for overnight. I think I'll do my grocery shopping about now.
Always good to have fine lambs, Daniel and Jer, for those errands.

Cool shadow pattern.

Blood Lamb never disappoints.

That's a real Gem.

Nice to see your HHB is eating well.

Such an elegant Lamb.

Hard to beat Ebony for wood handles.
Thanks kindly John.

Cassie is a sweet-looking girl!

Just heard from the vet, procedure is over and went well. They're waiting for Lacey to wake up, and they'll make sure she's doing okay, and then we can pick her up and bring her home, probably in the next few hours. A huge relief, but it will be an even bigger relief to have her home again.

Thanks for checking in!

Super good to hear that things went well. Hope the recovery is even better!

Ok ...I'm being lazy 🤫...taking pictures of knives for insurance backup. So, today's carry will be one of these.View attachment 2116209

Late edit: two departed as gifts.

Quite the wheel!

A few weeks ago Dawn bought a Yorkshire pudding tin. So this Sunday past she made a roast, then used the drippings to attempt her first Yorkshire pudding. It was delicious, but she was not happy about how it rose (or didn't) and asked me not to post a picture until she manages one that turns out to her satisfaction. The good news is that I will get to eat a bunch more of these as she debugs her process.

Yum, I love a good Yorkshire pudding! Good luck and happy eating on your quest. :)

Handsome fella!

Gracias amigo.

Thank you Steve.

Happy Anniversary Barrett. That looks like very good pizza.

Goodness gracious! Scout's eyes are incredible! :D What a beauty!

Thank you kind sir.

Thank you Jack.

Such a handsome furry friend and a very dignified pose.

The best in sidearms and lambs.

An English "light" breakfast this morning.... what... ?View attachment 2117215

Looks deeeee-lish!

What up guys and gals. Took today and tomorrow off to spend time with the wife since she had the week off. We are out puttering around doing errands. She insisted on driving so I’m clenching my teeth. 😂

🩸🐑 is out enjoying it.

Ya know, after three+ decades of marriage one would hope to have learned to clench teeth and not open mouth...but I struggle at times. lol Good for you!

Leon we must have dated some of the same gals!

Wow what a market!

Very cool shadow lamb David.

This phrase is a "foregone conclusion" is it not? 😁

A gem indeed Steve. I see why you snatched up the group.

Glorious Lamb and interesting coin!

Happy St.Patrick's Day everyone🍀🍻
Here, it seems like money and politics control the timing of traditions. The roots of these traditions are fading, hence the lack of importance. There are individual towns that are exceptions

Now, I am third owner of this lamb and the edge was misshapen. Now it is even and very edgy!View attachment 2119168

Now that is a serious contraption there!

I don't smoke cigarettes and I quit chewing Copenhagen two weeks ago. One of the hardest things I have ever done.

I hope your enjoying the warm weather Vince!!

Copenhagen was a super stubborn monkey to get off of my back. It took multiple attempts across several years but I finally stopped about 20 years ago. Wishing you success on this go!
