Feel better, my friend.

Hello Guardians. Been out for awhile with of all things, a bad tooth! Little bit embarrassing, but the antibiotics are finally kicking in and I’m getting a root canal on Monday. Weird to be looking forward to a root canal! 🤣

Glad your gettling a little relief Todd. Pop that sucker out with the lamb. No more root canal needed and problem solved 🤣 😂.

Thanks John. That sausage looks great, may have to gets some myself…but I may wait a few days before I eat it. 😄👍

I’ve had several rum and Cokes lately Jack!
😎👍

Thanks Paul.

I'm sorry to hear about your toothache. Nothing to be embarrassed about, though. Even Shakespeare thought a toothache would knock someone out of action:
"I pray thee peace, I will be flesh and blood;
For there was never yet philosopher
That could endure the toothache patiently,
However they have writ the style of gods,
And made a push at chance and sufferance."

Hope you get it fixed soon buddy, I've been there myself, I had six months of treatment after breaking a tooth on an ex-girlfriend's homemade pizza! Boy, can I pick 'em! 😱🙄Think that was the only time she cooked too! 🫣😁👍

It IS a good idea  How are you getting on with the one you built Leon, Bob's system made me think of it?
Was a good idea in theory. 🤣 🤣 🤣 But seriously it is really good for fixed blade and kitchen knives, okay for traditionals, but has it's limitations. But glad i did it, just learnt so much, and i don't care what anyone says, you cannot beat hands on learning yourself. Theory and books can be great aids, but hands on learning and learning by your mistakes is so much better. All the generations that went before us had to learn from trial and error, and you learn so much more from your mistakes. As far as knife sharpeners go though, i bought a clone of the Wicked Edge online. Value for money it is the best sharpener i have ever used. I can only imagine how good the original Wicked Edge is, but off the charts prohibitively expensive over here. If i had time on my side i would get one, but this old stager ain't investing that sort of Johnny Cash into a knife sharpener at this stage of his time on this mortal world. Have a good weekend mate. 🤝

I do it because some knives are meant to slice( 15° ) and other for more severe cutting tasks( 22° ). Helping to preserve the edge.
You should look at getting an Idahone V ceramic sharpener. They are set at 15 degrees and 22 degrees, would be a great help just honing your knives to keep them sharp.

Good evening!

Fun day for us. We decided to spend the afternoon walking the upper purgatory greenbelt in San Marcos. It’s really a nice place to unwind. The Golden Cheecked Warbler is an endangered species so some trails were off limits. It is beautiful country. After returning home I decided to have a screwdriver out back and admire this ebony beauty. And Patches, ever faithfully by my side. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!C9058B4E-D1E0-4330-B3A8-09E14BA3B818.jpeg1345A4BE-A8AA-44A5-9D92-C59ADC8F7837.jpeg2685713E-86A2-4B6E-A1D6-2B8AD2A8AC6F.jpeg

Thank you kindly for that suggestion. Will look into it. I'm sure it will save time with touch ups.👍

Sorry to hear Todd. Glad relief is only a few days away.

Saw a good movie last night based on a true story. The Scarlett and the black. Gregory Peck plays the lead role as an Irish Monsignor in the Vatican hiding and saving locals and escaped prisoners of War from the Nazi regime during WW2. Good movie on a rainy day.

These lambs always know how to pose, to show off their best attributes. Very nice Dwight.
Many thanks Bob.
Beautiful Lamb!
Thank you David.
Great picture Dwight and sweet lamb today!
Thank you Paul. And like Vince said, all of those goodies you listed are on my do list too except tobacco (and it use to be). Matter of fact sipping Knob Creek 9 as I type.
Fabulous photo Dwight
Thank you Jack.
Happy St.Patrick's Day everyone🍀🍻
Here, it seems like money and politics control the timing of traditions. The roots of these traditions are fading, hence the lack of importance. There are individual towns that are exceptions

Now, I am third owner of this lamb and the edge was misshapen. Now it is even and very edgy!View attachment 2119168
That rig certainly looks like it would sharpen knives. I googled it. I'd give you some grief about spending that kind of money for one... but people in glass houses...😊🙃
Brilliant! :)

Thanks Bob, I don't know what the issue is, but it's very frustrating, had to give up on my email

Thanks a lot Steve :)

Good evening Dwight, what a beauty.👍
You can give me grief..I can take it.
It really helps with all my sharpening needs, not just pocket knives.
Enjoy your weekend.🍀🍀
