Hello Guardians. Been out for awhile with of all things, a bad tooth! Little bit embarrassing, but the antibiotics are finally kicking in and I’m getting a root canal on Monday. Weird to be looking forward to a root canal!![]()
I'm sorry to hear about your toothache. Nothing to be embarrassed about, though. Even Shakespeare thought a toothache would knock someone out of action:Thanks John. That sausage looks great, may have to gets some myself…but I may wait a few days before I eat it.
I’ve had several rum and Cokes lately Jack!
Thanks Paul.

Thanks Jack! Thanks David, it's good to see the Captain looking ship-shape and Bristol-fashion!![]()
Thanks Steve!Great pic !
Was a good idea in theory. It IS a good ideaHow are you getting on with the one you built Leon, Bob's system made me think of it?
You should look at getting an Idahone V ceramic sharpener. They are set at 15 degrees and 22 degrees, would be a great help just honing your knives to keep them sharp.I do it because some knives are meant to slice( 15° ) and other for more severe cutting tasks( 22° ). Helping to preserve the edge.
Thank you kindly for that suggestion. Will look into it. I'm sure it will save time with touch ups.You should look at getting an Idahone V ceramic sharpener. They are set at 15 degrees and 22 degrees, would be a great help just honing your knives to keep them sharp.
Sorry to hear Todd. Glad relief is only a few days away. Thanks John. That sausage looks great, may have to gets some myself…but I may wait a few days before I eat it.

Many thanks Bob.These lambs always know how to pose, to show off their best attributes. Very nice Dwight.
Thank you David.Beautiful Lamb!
Thank you Paul. And like Vince said, all of those goodies you listed are on my do list too except tobacco (and it use to be). Matter of fact sipping Knob Creek 9 as I type.Great picture Dwight and sweet lamb today!
Thank you Jack.Fabulous photo Dwight
That rig certainly looks like it would sharpen knives. I googled it.Happy St.Patrick's Day everyone
Here, it seems like money and politics control the timing of traditions. The roots of these traditions are fading, hence the lack of importance. There are individual towns that are exceptions
Now, I am third owner of this lamb and the edge was misshapen. Now it is even and very edgy!View attachment 2119168

Thanks Bob, I don't know what the issue is, but it's very frustrating, had to give up on my email

Great post Tyson.I'm sorry to hear about your toothache. Nothing to be embarrassed about, though. Even Shakespeare thought a toothache would knock someone out of action:
"I pray thee peace, I will be flesh and blood;
For there was never yet philosopher
That could endure the toothache patiently,
However they have writ the style of gods,
And made a push at chance and sufferance."
That is some beautiful country Pete.Fun day for us. We decided to spend the afternoon walking the upper purgatory greenbelt in San Marcos. It’s really a nice place to unwind. The Golden Cheecked Warbler is an endangered species so some trails were off limits. It is beautiful country.
Good evening Dwight, what a beauty. Many thanks Bob.
Thank you David.
