Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I was going to make pasta, but Sunday has turned super busy round at Grumble Towers, so I just threw together a burger ;)

...can you imagine the nutritionists' comments regarding our eating habits.:eek:

Oh Dave! NOW you tell me! ;) :D

I've already lived way longer than I expected. o_O

I've lived to the age where I struggle to remember how old I am! :D ;)

I know what your saying, my Wife and I were talking about that last night. Our parents passed away at 59 and 66 pretty young I would say, heck if we make it till September of 2019 we will have been married 50 years! :D

That's quite a milestone my friend :)

No doubt. One of these days for sure.

"Posted this in the BBQ thread, but it certainly qualifies here as well": oooh my, I've had a glimpse of Valhalla.:thumbsup::D:D

Thanks very much lads, great to see your Labour Day pics Jack, and I’m glad to see Frostfoot’s been getting some time in the kitchen.

Ahahah - a Procol Harum reference! Nice!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks, @kfalk ; not as nice as your knife, though. :)

Thanks, Ron  I have that particular video saved and will play it when I'm chilling  Oh how I wish I was in my 20's again. :D
...
Thanks for the link, Dave. :) That's an impressive arrangement of the song; I got chills watching that!:thumbsup: I STILL have NO idea what the song is about, though. And although my 20s were quite enjoyable, I don't think I would want a "do over". Guess that's consistent with a guy whose alleged motto is "Shut up and play the cards you're dealt." :D

I've been reluctant to Lambsfoot, but when a week ago stumbled upon this Taylor's Eye Witness for exceptionally small price I couldn't resist. After a little care and few days of using I can say you've got new guardian. Lambsfoot is a very nice, practical and beautiful pattern!

Congrats and welcome, @mpt ! :):thumbsup: Splendid TEW lambsfoot!

...I'm sitting on pins and needles waiting on my Ashley's choice wee stag:thumbsup:;):)
...Hopefully my new wee Sambar will leave Great Britain one of these days! I hope the customs inspectors didn’t take a liking to it since it is such a splendid example! ;)
Ron, your stag lambsfoot in the hand is worth two in transit ;), but I can see why many of us are eagerly awaiting the Ashley's Choice Lambsfoots!:thumbsup::thumbsup: FWIW, I saw that mine made it to Chicago at 6:04pm Saturday night!!! :):cool:

...
I had these two with me today, my Ashley's Choice and Rosewood Big 'Un

...
Thanks for the comments, Jack. :) That pair looks fantastic in their sylvan settings!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks for the link, Jack, although it seems to confirm my pessimistic belief that posting images directly to BF seemed too good to be true. :( Last night was the only time I received the "file too big" message while trying to post a pic, but it sounds like I'd better get used to the idea of resizing my photos, or, perhaps a better long-term solution is get back into the Imgur habit. But apparently either of those is fraught with peril, since Imgur has not been reliably available of late, and the acceptable size of a pic for direct upload seems to be a moving target. (I have no knowledge of the Media Gallery and how it's used, or what happens when someone exceeds their quota there.)

This today, thanks to Jack!

Good-looking pale stag, @Dschal ! :thumbsup::cool:

... For Sunday, I thought I'd go with this ebony and ivory pairing :) Have a great day folks

Lambsfoot knives simplify lives, making everything a matter of black and white! ;):p

... put the idea of Henderson's in my head. As it doesn't go with porridge I had to have a second breakfast... :D
lol porridge and sauce yuck.
Oh, ye of little faith!! Let's try to be open minded (and mouthed).

...
I bet GT has had that! :D
...
You guys have inspired me to have my own second breakfast ;) Doused the sausages and mushrooms in Henderson's and Tabasco (a nod to our Texan friends) as they were frying, and ate them with a little Yorkshire sweet chilli sauce and a mug of strong coffee :)

I have in fact tried Henderson's with my "enriched" oatmeal :), but I think the Henderson's is too mild to be noticed among the riot of flavors my various fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, candies, meats, and cheeses impart to the dish. But Jack's pic reveals the key: a few dashes of Tabasco definitely add to the flavor experience of the meal.:cool::thumbsup: (FWIW, my bottle of Tabasco is much larger than my bottle of Henderson's, unlike Jack's pic. :p)

haha I'm sure he will be around later to confess :p
Confession is good for the soul, Dave, and Tabasco sauce is good for the oatmeal!:D:D

I'm pretty sure he's posted pics before :D Not much doesn't go in GT's oatmeal! :)
One of the many things I've learned on The Porch is that without pictures, it didn't happen. Here's a pic of what's happenin'! :p:rolleyes:

And here's a pic of the Union Jack I've been carrying all week with a rather bookish tie (taken to be posted in the Neckties and Knives thread at some point):

Thanks mate, and thanks for those scenic pics, looks like you've been having a great time :)

I STILL have NO idea what the song is about, though. And although my 20s were quite enjoyable, I don't think I would want a "do over".

I happily go back to being a teenager, but I STILL wouldn't have a clue what that song is about! :D

Yes, sadly it seems that there were in fact NO advantages whatsoever to the last software update, not that I can see anyway, and that we were in fact sold a crock of $&@£ o_O

The only thing better than having two nice Sambar Lambsfoot knives is having three! ;) The tracking update on mine is now showing QUEENS NY DISTRIBUTION CENTER!! It finally got to this side of the Pond! :D

My Gawd GT- That's some witches brew! "Now I know why Jack said I bet GT has had that" :D:thumbsup: Although I do remember my dad would have chunks of white bread in a bowl with milk. Somehow I think in a strange way,it was his comfort food.o_O
Re, that particular video of Whiter shade of pale, It is quite haunting, isn't it.
