Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

It's rosewood I believe.
I figured, I just wasn't sure if it was one of those special "Bubinga" models. Nonetheless, beautiful knife!

Cheers!

Thanks Jer :) Your 2018 Ebony has great character
Evening Guardians! Red Bud trees started blooming around here last week. Sure sign spring is here to stay.

At last! :) Your '19 looks good David :)
A weak photo yes, but Sheffield is indeed STRONG in it.

I met Moffatt a few times back in the 90's, never read the book though. Interesting background for your handsome Lamb Jaques :)
That's a nice one! I really like the bolsters. The snow is melting here, but the air is still a little chilly!

Cheers!

Hope you get some warmer weather soon :)
Have a great evening, night, morning, afternoon all.View attachment 2133901
Looks like you and your Lambsfoot are well taken of there buddy :) I was once eating some pistachio nuts in a pub in Sheffield, and I saw this feller, who had come in with some friends of mine, watching me throwing the shells in the ashtray. I offered them round, and he took some, and then said, "They taste a lot better without the shells!" 🤣 I like the way you can use the nose of a Lambsfoot to open the stubborn ones :D
Your are a true connoisseur and aficionado.
It's not commonly seen here, but I always liked trying new things. I used to sometimes have boiled quails eggs too, they're not bad - for eggs! :D
Those hunting bolts look mighty sweet, Jack! The Steambow kit is definitely a tad pricey. I'm looking forward to some plinking as we had a couple day break in the rain and my backstop is finally up (ready for paint and sealer :))
Yeah, pretty good JJ, but unfortunately, they sell them in packs of 5, while the magazine holds 6! Most of their accessories are ridiculously overpriced I think, particularly considering the quality isn't always good. One of the 2 speedloaders I received, as part of my order, the other day, had a crack in it, and broke when I tried to use it! Austrian prices, Chinese quality  Great to hear you got your backstop up, I was shooting in the house yesterday, at 25ft, I have one of their foam targets. Zeroed in the laser and red-dot, but at that range, open sights are probably just as good. I was getting good groups, but don't think it's ever going to be suitable for gnat-shooting, too many variables. I did get a blockage, due to two bolts feeding at the same time, which took some time to sort out, and one of the plastic end-caps on the prod broke, causing me to dry-fire. Firing it repeatedly is quite a work-out! :D

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is doing well, as we reach the middle of another working week :) I'm feeling tired this morning, not sure if it's due to the clocks going forward, or all the physical activity yesterday. Might just be getting old! :D It's a pretty dull day here, but I'll be going out at some point. Need to get a shave first ;) Have a good day Guardians :) Watch yourself boys, Lucy is out of the box! :D

Thanks Jack Black Jack Black . I never met Moffatt myself but I hung out and climbed with Malcolm Smith in Fontainebleau for the good part of three weeks. Must have been back in 2002 if my memory serves me well. He was very pleasant to be around, humble and down to earth and one wouldn't think that he was one of he worlds best climbers at that time - as opposed to Moffatts and his superstar attitude I I guess 🤣 It is funny that they both were cut and build from the same climbing walls in the School Room in Sheffield.
The book is excellent btw, Moffatt is a great story teller.

Malcolm Smith is a climber more to my liking, it must have been great climbing with him :) Because of my writing, rather than my mediocre climbing abilities, I became friends with many great climbers, Ron Fawcett for example, as well as some from the younger generation (I am actually FROM Hunter's Bar in Sheffield, as opposed to having moved there), and much older climbers. Moffatt's arrogant reputation preceded him, though by the time we met, he was somewhat over himself. I occasionally saw him in one of the climber's pubs in Sheffield, but he was someone I more commonly encountered at trade shows, and not someone I was friends with, I only knew him to exchange a few words with

Lucy's looking fine Jack.😀 Demonstrating her lethality?🤔

If you are like me, our " batteries " take a little longer to recharge. Hope you have a relaxing day Jack.

Sounds like a good day for a nap. 😄 Lucy is looking good Jack, but I’m not taking any chances. Couldn’t find any fresh…hopefully this will get the job done! 🤣CB7600F1-8863-4ACD-8FE3-7F46BBB8A047.jpeg

Well just when you think it's warming up mother nature takes you on a little detour. Not bad but a little dusting of the white stuff. Temps will be below freezing for most of the day. Nothing to complain about however as I am drinking coffee and having an easy work day thus far. Got the stag lamb today. Going to the show made me realize how special the stag on this knife really is. This lamb is such a joy to own and carry.

Played golf yesterday - beautiful weather but I played awful. That's golf for you. I'm currently in a slump. But, I have my HHB to cheer me up and I think I'll have some coffee this morning.

Sorry to hear that Bill, but we all have off-days, whatever sport or pastime we pursue :) Enjoy your coffee with your Hartshead Barlow :) Hopefully, your next round will be different :)
Very nice Bill.
It's terrible how the mind can ruin one's game. Hang true, it will come back.
Good advice there Bob

It's been pretty dull here today, but Spring is definitely on the way, and I'm seeing more of friends and neighbours I've seen less of over the winter, which is nice :) I called in for a coffee, and a muffin, at Charlie's, and then went into town, where I picked up some shopping. I had a bargain-priced fleece top to pick up from an outdoor shop, and also treated myself to a small head-torch. There was a 400 lumen model at £20, and a better 500 lumen model priced at £30, but I found one of the better models priced at £19.99 at the back of the rack :D I'd been intending to have lunch, but wasn't hungry, so when I had got everything, I headed back to Grumble Towers, walking up the road with my next-door neighbour, and stopping to chat to another couple of them on the way. A nap sounds attractive, but I'm taking no chances with Lucy! ;) :D

That is what makes the game of golf so great. In my college golf days, I was in an epic slump and almost didn't travel with the team. One day it all went away and played the best golf of my life for about 6 months. It's a fickle thing that just ebbs and flows. Your game will be in tip top shape before you know it, Bill. Lovely lamb as usual buddy.
Thanks Bob! :D Yeah, I reckon so my friend, 62 tomorrow
