Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I love the wood on that.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks my friend.
LOL! :D I seem to recall Rodgers claiming some sort of innovation ;) Cutlers, even some today, use incredibly stinky horn and hoof glue that they set to bubbling away in an ancient pot! Horn itself smells badly enough, just from being polished! I remember bringing the 2017 Guardians run back from Sheffield, and waking up the next day to the stench of it! 😳😦😁
I tried my hand at sanding down some horn and it really did stink something awful.
Handsome pipe Paul :)
Thanks, Jack
I have one somewhere Paul, but mine has been absolutely ruined I'm afraid!
That one has certainly been loved hasn't it.

Happy Easter everyone. Hope everybody is spending quality time with your loved ones. I am not with my family, but through the power of technology I am able to be there somewhat. Over at the parents house waiting for the tournament coverage to start and thought I would sling some arrows. Turkeys beware this spring 😃. Got the '19 in the pocket today.

Nice work Paul :) Hope your family can get over to you soon buddy :)

I just randomly posted this pic in the EDC thread by mistake! 😖😁

It's evening here, and I'm off out, so if anyone is trying to contact me by email, sorry ;)

Jack Jack Black Jack Black - Will you please refresh my memory of these four knives? How many of each made, when, etc. My old mind doesn't work as it used to and I don't take many notes except for a name or two now and again. Thanks

Double lamb this p.m. while playing.View attachment 2145672
Two fantastic images Bob. I love the truck. Did you do the restoration? Looks like a frame-off?
the swans were building their nest last year. A shame so much of it is wind-blown plastic, and other rubbish
Roundhay is wonderful Jack. I am always impressed with the way you folks have kept nature so close to the city. Hey the swans are recycling!
I hope everyone is having a good Saturday. It will be the Masters and stuffing my face with whatever food is within arms reach today 🤣. I do need to stock up on a few essentials that include IPA, brown ale, and maybe a porter ale or two for the weekend. I always look forward to this week. I have this nice little rodgers shadow pattern lamb in the pocket today. Have a great day everyone and enjoy your Easter weekend.

Very cool shadow lamb Paul.
🌧️ Well play has been suspended for the day, but that doesn’t mean you guys have to stop eating and drinking! 🤣

Here’s a few pictures from our visit to the Heaven Hill distillery yesterday. View attachment 2145983
Nothing like a bourbon tasting at 10:00 am. 👍

Looks like a great tour Todd.
Thanks Bob, in bourbon county it’s always 5:00!
Amen
Sound advice my friend. Cheers buddy.

Always a delight to see this lamb!
Thank you my friend.
Evening Guardians. Have the trusty '19 with me:

Wonderful lamb and image.
Louie likes it! Happy Easter to all!
Louie is handsome and has great taste.

Cherri and I spent the day driving up to Kansas City and rolled in about 5 pm. Planning on checking out the Arabia museum and doing a tour of Tom's Distillery. And see about some genuine KC barbecue.
Had to bring my own night cap for tonight. Will look for some Buffalo Trace mañana.
I hope everyone had a nice Easter.

Definitely mate, I spent 10 years travelling pretty intensively around Europe, some years I was abroad more than at home. I only set foot on a beach once, and that was at night, to attend the Gypsy flamenco festival and funfair near Barcelona. Even when I lived in Lebanon, often within sight of the sea, I only went to the beach once, and we just walked there and back :D I needed a break last Christmas, after missing the summer here due to my sciatica, and Fuerteventura was a first for me, (and my first trip overseas in 10 years), but I was out exploring everyday, and spoke Spanish the entire time I was there :) I have to admit that I'm less adventurous as I get older though, and considerably less capable. Until I was 50, I just used to pick up a small rucsac, and head off, travelling by boat and train, and car-sharing with friends, staying wherever came up along the way. Great times and great memories, but I have got soft now! :D

Thanks a lot buddy, I'm sure it'll be interesting! :D Unfortunately, I don't get there until 10pm on the first day, and I've paid for the 'all-inclusive'! If I'd known I was going to Bulgaria, I'd have gone for longer! :D

LOL! :D I'd seen the name crop up on other sites, and avoided it like the plague! :D In this case, as well as including it with the Turkish offers, they just listed the hotel, and 'Bourgas Area' There's a bar nearby called 'Funny Pub'! o_O 🤣

Thanks Pete, I hope to make a couple of visits to the town. I shall be looking out for Spartacus souvenirs too! ;)

Fantastic pics Pete, looks great  I was hoping to get to Sicily this year, but I don't think I'm going to have time now. With this spring break, I just basically wanted to get out of the country for a few days, basically anywhere that wasn't England on May 6th! :D ;)

Thanks buddy :)

Good morning Guardians! :) Blimey, it's taken me an hour and a half to catch up! Hope everyone is having a great weekend :) I enjoyed my walk yesterday, but my ankles and Achilles tendons are hurting today. I had hoped I had recovered from spraining both ankles around Xmas :( As it's a 4-day holiday, I dare say it was carnage in the centre of Leeds last night! I had a couple of toasted hot cross buns for breakfast, got them from the market on Friday, much tastier than the ones from the supermarket :) No plans for today, except doing some spring-cleaning, if I get time ;) Have a good day Guardians

That's a nice holster for the sauce, Jack! I have a friend at church that has a leather holster for a bottle -- never leaves home without it lol!

When I was at secondary skool, I had a very snooty Geography teacher, who considered herself very cultured, and was constantly putting her class down for the uncultured peasants we almost certainly were  One day, mid-diatribe, one of my schoolmates put his hand up, and asked her if he hadn't seen her, and her boyfriend, coming out of Death Race 2000 at the cinema the previous weekend! I can still remember the shade of scarlet she went! 🤣

Good luck Jer :) I was bought a chocolate cake for my birthday, and an Easter egg. and am having to force them down! :D I've had a crown come out several times recently, the first time being when I was away on vacation at Xmas. The tooth underneath is sharp enough to cut my tongue, so I have had to repair it myself twice. The last time I was at my dentist, she told me to book an emergency appointment if it came out again, and she'd get me in the same day. I told her that the phone goes unanswered for days, so she gave me her email address, but it's come out Easter Sunday, and the surgery won't be open tomorrow as it's a public holiday!

Good to see Old Toffee Wings :)

That is terrible! I hope it doesn't cause too much grief, and hope it is fixed Monday!

Thank you kind Sir. I notice after the fact it seems a bit purplish but, you know, amateur hour. 🤣 Hope your visit to KC is super fun!

But how are the Ritas??

We have a spot down the street that is a 5/10 but the drinks make it “palatable “

👍😃

They were decent, but I don’t know if it’s enough to bring us back. 🤣

LOL Seinfeld was one of the greatest shows of all time (imo)! Sorry to hear about the dinner -- Mexican is my #1 and would have no trouble having it seven days a week and twice on Sundays lol.

Seinfeld was my dad’s favorite show, and I’ve always enjoyed it, too. Nice bit part by Peter Stormare in that episode.

I feel the same about Mexican/Tex-Mex food.

Looks good mate, sorry about the bland food though, I hate it hen that happens :( Maybe you need to take a leaf out of peanutsxx peanutsxx 's book! :D ;)

Thank you Jack! Nice flint and steel you have there with your HHB. 🤠
Thank you David, that one is by knifemaker Jacek Robotka :)

I can relate Ed, fortunately in this case it's not too hard for me to remember. These were one of several SFOs I had made in 2019. There were 20 of the Damascus one, 5 of each of the 4 patterns.

We're lucky to have so many parks here Dwight, though I wish we had more big woods and open access countryside :) Yes, all 3 of last year's cygnets have already moved on

Not mine I'm afraid Michael, just a stock image, but I might look out for one to carry my Henderson's Relish! :D
That is terrible! I hope it doesn't cause too much grief, and hope it is fixed Monday!
Thank you my friend :) Unfortunately, the dentists aren't open today as it's a public holiday here, so it will be tomorrow now. Fortunately, it's not as bad as the first time the crown came out, when the tooth cut my tongue :(
Hope you had a nice Easter, Jack. I don’t think I’ve ever had a hot cross bun.
Thanks pal, hope you and the girls had a good one :) Hot cross buns were probably a real treat once, but they are not that exciting really. They are still very popular here at Easter though, probably for reasons of tradition and nostalgia, which I have to say is why I buy them myself! :D

Good morning Guardians, Easter Monday is a public holiday here. Not much happens, kids are bored, some are recovering from hangovers, and while it's currently raining, I'm not aware of any 'Wet Monday' celebrations, despite the huge number of Poles and other Eastern Europeans here. Personally, I'll be glad to get back to normal, but a lot of folks take advantage of the 4-day break to take a short vacation. I was going to go for a short hike with my mate Matt, and his lad, and do some slingshot plinking, but he's come down with a bug. I might go out and get some fresh air later. I hope the week gets off to a good start for the rest of you, and you're rested and well after the weekend. I thought I'd start my week off with The Chieftain, and some bagpipes to blow away the cobwebs! :D Have a good week Guardians
